It all started with one boy and one old man with a wooden sword. This boy was sent without a map or anyway to find out where he was going to rescue some random Princess. He fought Octoroks and Goblins. He found secrets to everybody and an Arrow of Light. Once he defeated Ganon in the end he infused himself inside the Princess unbeknown to them.

After a couple years there was peace until the world became one straight line and Ganon threw the Princess into a como. This boy, being a man now, was forced to travel through the linear world where unlike before he got gradually stronger. In the end Ganon was defeated yet again but not for long unfortunately.

The Princess after waking up married a King and had a daughter and so did the Young man, but he had a son. The Son was seperated from his father who gave him the same name and was adopted by his so called uncle. This boy ventured into a castle because the Queen's, old princess, daughter talked to him telepathically. This boy was instantly thrown into a world of turmoil where he must get threw jewels for the old man with the difficult name.

After getting said Jewels he went and recieved the Sword of Evil's Bane. He fought on and on through 8 dungeons until he was thrust into a nega-world where he became a pig and he must venture around to return to normal. He had to yet again go through 8 dungeons and when he fought Ganon this time he had a change of skin tone.

After the battle and the land was saved our Hero went on a boat seeing as trouble follows him. he was thrown off the boat and landed on the shores of a strange island where some locals brought him back to normal. Through a series of trades and 8 more dungeons our Hero was able to get the 8 instruments which allowed him to enter the Egg of the Wind Fish and went through a confusing set of paths. Yet again it was Ganon in the end who he had to fight and he was justly defeated.

After doing so our Hero somehow became a baby and was thrown back to his old land where a tree took care of him. He was raised as one of the villagers and known as the boy without a fairy until he became Ten and a fairy came to him and would forever be known as the greatest annoyance of history. He went inside the tree and fought his way through even though the tree died.

The young boy left the village and almost everyone he met except a young farm girl who gave him the horse became extremely important to the storyline. This young Hero had to go through two more places and even sneak into a castle which must have horrible security. After getting all three stones the princess of this time gave him an orcarina to replace his best friend's. He took these stones into a temple where he played a special song and recieved a sword which thrusted him seven years into the future.

He went through yet again 8 dungeons going back and forth in time. He fought up through the caster fighting everything in his way and defeating Ganon who revieved a piece of The Mystical Traingle. Our Hero having the one of Courage, the Princess having one of Wisdom, and Ganon having the one of Power. He fought and won yet again but instead of getting some from the Princess yet again he was told to go back to his youth.

Our Hero was tired of waiting around went away to a land where everything was more serious and he was able to go through in time for three days to fix any problems since the moon would crash into the town because of a Skull Kid who stole a mystical mask. He went through only a few dungeons this time but he had to fight a mask instead of Ganon who took a break. There also was an effeminate elf who wanted to be a fairy and somehow became important.

Our Hero had gotten married and had twins who grew up and recieved two individual halves of the Mystical Triangle. One was sent to travel through time and another to change the seasons. They fought the great evil who was somehow became Ganon who would yet again try to rule the world. They defeated him and the land became peaceful for 100 years.

In that time period the ice caps melted and the land became a great Ocean with few mountains. A new Hero arrived this time to fight the great evil. It was his birthday and a pirate fell from the sky and his sister was kidnapped. The pirates took on board and taught him the basics. He traveled through 6 dungeons over an expansive ocean one he went through twice. After doing so he had to gather a large sum of money and have this elf translate these maps so he can receive the somehow broken pieces of the mystical triangle. The big bad guy turned out to be Ganon who went back to his old state.

The boy went through the whole adventure on a boat which can talk and happens to be the King of the second Heroes land. He fought 4 of the bosses he fought before but in Black and White. After that he went through a short venture to the Ganon's room, now known as Ganondorf. Also the pirate who he encountered on his home island happened to be the reicarnation of the Princess.

Along with the help of the boat, and Princess, our Hero was able to defeat the Great evil Ganondorf and seal away the land of old forever.

Link traveled with these Pirates who helped him along and used his now speechless boat to go through yet more dungeons. The main bad guy this time was a Knight of Old. This time though our Hero was able to do battle on board his ship with more than just a few Squids. Once he defeated the main bad guy peace was once more restored and the water receded.

With the water down the people were much easier able to mingle with the other islanders. Our Hero had a child with the Pirate Princess and several other islanders after his victory and over several generations the land returned to our second hero's time.

One of his offspring followed the Princess of the land into a secret place where a evil being captured the Princess and our new Hero took a sword from the pedestal. This sword ripped the hero in four and had them all became a unit of power. These four used their strength to go through a shorter version of the Second hero's first journey. They defeated the evil wizard and had to fight Ganon who doesn't know how to leave these guys alone. they won with the Princess's help.

At the same time in another land a hatless hero was at the Castle when the princess was turned to stone and he had to repair a sword of power. He found a hat which was almost as annoying as the fairy who gave him the power to become a tiny being. He fought through both the land of large and the land of small. He ended up fighting the same evil Wizard that attempted to defeat his four-counterparted relative. Instead of fighting Ganon he was actually the final guy.

The land was peaceful for one hundred more years and there appeared to be absolutely no evolution in technology. The great-grandson of the four-part Hero became the new Hero. This time he became a wolf and was joined by a Twilight Imp who could kill multiple people at the same time. Fighting through about 6 dungeons to recover a mirror.

Our hero came upon the Great Evil again who was a member of the Twilight Realm who had Ganon influence him. He tactics were the same as many of the guys you fought before. After defeating him our Hero was forced to fight Ganon alongside of his Twilight Imp. They defeated the great evil who posessed the Princess to have you fight her. You defeat her and have to fight Ganon as a beast.

Turning into a wolf and attacking an obvious weak spot you manage to win. Ganon was not over yet though. He ran away and you gave chase along side of the Princess. After knocking him off horseback you fought him one on one. After winning peace was returned and the Twilight Imp became a tall dark and beautiful Princess of Twilight. The door between the two realms were destroyed hoping to have everlasting peace.

But things are not always going to stay peaceful in this land.

Seems like a nice way to link everything together. My cursory reading didn't uncover any flaws or contradictions... But I never really bought into these Zelda theories anyway...

But that would make it far too easy, and not complicated enough for such a prestigious series. Now, we have to make a timeline for the Mario series, and I tell you, Mario Bros 3 definitely cam out before Super Mario Bros!

There's about eight different Links, I've tried sorting the timeline out myself before.

That is how it came out in mine.

1. Fist 2
2. 3rd, Link's awakening, Orcarina, Majora
3,4. Seasons and ages.
5. Winwaker and Phantom Hourglass
6,7. Four Swords and Minish Cap.
8. Twilight Princess.

Well I guess someone read it.

Message(#6851-000681-4140\6814140)

Greetings,

Since the first Legend of Zelda game was released on the NES years ago, fans of the series have tried to fit each game into a timeline, each game representing a separate episode of Link's life. This has lead to much speculation and discussion, particularly over the games where Link switches between adult and young boy.

The 2003 release of The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker finally put an end to the speculation and discussion in its opening line, "This is but one of the legends of which people speak..." The basic assumption has always been that Link is a single individual. However, in an interview given at the time it was released, the game's director, Eiji Aonuma (speaking for himself and Shigeru Miyamoto, the original creator of the series) stated "In our opinions, with the Legend of Zelda, every game has a new Link. A new hero named Link always rises to fight evil."

This means that--unless otherwise specified--each new game represents a new Link and that there isn't a true frame of reference or timeline possible for the series. For additional information on The Legend of Zelda series, please visit our official Legend of Zelda website at the following address:
