They should really just kill the damn series, how many Pokemon does it have now, 450+? The new Pokemon (Anything after Gold,Silver,Crystal) just plain suck. They're not original anymore.

Yeah, the new Pokemon don't seem to leave the same sort of impression on me as they did back when. I mean, yeah, there are dozens of awesome new ones, but for every memorable one there's about ten that are just uninspired and lame. However, this is no reason for Nintendo to discontinue one of their most successful franchises.

On a related note, does anyone think that they'll ever ditch the sprites in favor of 3D models for the Pokemon? I've personally been dreaming of this since Pokemon Stadium. It seems that the next generation might be able to handle this, it's just a question of if Nintendo is willing to make the change.

I would love it. Either console or handheld, I'd love to see my favorite Pokemon locations in 3D. They just can't do a horrible job with it, one misfire with the series and it loses a lot of credibility with it's loyal near-adult crowd.

I personally think that the pokemon games went downhill shortly after red/blue/yellow. We don't need any new pokemon games.

I've been poking around with some older epics, and there's a limit to what you can pack in a game without overdoing it.

The real question is, what will they call their next games? They've gone from red and blue (green), to silver and gold, to crystal, to ruby and sapphire, to emerald, to diamond and pearl, and now to platinum. How do they top that? Space elements!?

Anyways, not a whole lot to be said here. Typical pokemon game, was to be expected. They always come out with two, and then the special "lets make more money" version, later. Oh boy, you mean I can dig for rocks underground and talk on wifi!? YAY! I guess the new forms is kinda cool, too bad I haven't touched Diamond for months :/

and I just got Pearl.

Why would they bother wasting their time making an updated version of Diamond and Pearl, they should just go ahead and make an entirely new sequel.

To be able to fight in johto, kanto, hoenn and sinnoh. To make it just fucking huge and have the original pokémon in kanto, 2nd gen in johto (mainly i guess, not all necessarily but MAINLY) and etc etc.

I just hope after this they release one more game. since they're at 493 they can do something similar to what a lot of games have and make 7 of something. SOME LEGENDS OR SOMETHING that there are 7 of so that the game can just end at 500 and we can all be like...... wow, it's finally over, BUT GOD DAMN IT IT WAS WORTH IT

even though it is supposidely new i never buy the 3rd installment in a pokemon generation if i alreadyhave one of the first i guess because i don't want to go through it again and it feels practically the same

It should've been crystal and the GS game should have been Platinum. Makes more sense.
