[New] Pokemon Platinum

A new Pokemon game? We all knew it was coming, well you should have, but I didn't think they'd name it this. Anyways here's the info there is so far and a picture from the magazine. Don't really have full confirmation yet but it all seems pretty much true, it was known that two new forms were coming and obvious that Giratina would be the title Pokemon.

* The Underground is now Wi-Fi enabled
* An island called Battle Island, works in the same manner as the Battle Frontier
* Several new Pokémon 'forms' exist in the game; Giratina's Origin Form, Regigigas' Sky Form, Shaymin's Another Form
* Giratina & Regigigas' new forms are said to be able to get the Levitate ability and Shaymin's Another form may be at least part Ice Type"

I want a DS version of the Gold/Silver era. Those are almost better than the first, not quite, but still.

Awesome, especially the Flying type Regigigas. Now he'll actually have a use. Underground Wi-Fi is amazing too.

I'd hate for Volkner to be the champion like in Emerald though, that would be lame.

By that I meant with the Levitate ability he won't be able to fit in Slow Start, making him actual useful in battle.

Gold and Silver showcased Lugia or whatever and Ho-oh, Crystal featured Suicune or some shit from the same generation. Ruby/Sapphire had uh...those two water/fire Pokemon that I don't really give a shit about, and then Emerald had Rayquanza, from the same generation. Pokemon Diamond/Pearl once again had two pokemon I don't care about, and now it has Platinum, which features Giratina from the same generation.

Oh, and Red/Blue just had Blastoise and Charizard, then Pikachu for Yellow, once again, same thing.

All Pokemon games are practically identical to the last - remaking blue/red was a stupid thing from them to do, because it had even few differences between it and previous Pokemon games then other titles did.

IMO, this is the best addition to the new game, even though Wi-Fi Underground should have been available for Diamond and Pearl. The other new stuff sound good and I might get this game when it comes out. However, I'm more interested in the possible remakes of Gold and Silver.

they better not have yet another non-important character follow you around and treat you as some type of god when you beat them (eusine from crystal anyone?) or like the guy from emerald who follows you and allows you to go to battle frontier, that was the only point of him being in it! why'd he need to stalk you through the entire game?

although you can pretty much guarantee that they'll have yet another non-important character in this remake, it seems to be like a trend, they always manage to somehow ruin a remake...
