Im thinking about getting a tablet but i don't went to mess up. So i'm trying understand how size matters for tablets.

Like does the tablet screen become my computer screen? So if i were to put a circle in the top left of my tablet would it then be in the top left on my computer screen?

But if you were to have a smaller tablet wouldn't that affect the size of you drawing? for example lets say there was tablet about 4 inches. one stroke on the tablet wouldn't be the same size as one stroke out of like a 16 inch computer screen right?

And a bigger tablet would just increase the accuracy of the stroke. Im just totally guessing here so i hope someone can confirm. and if what i said is true, is the size of the stroke really affected all that much? cause i would definetly get a cheap one if it wasn't.

My opinion, (not saying it's all perfect)

I believe that size doesn't overly matter for tablets. I'm not sure if you want the smallest one out there (I have a 6 x 8, medium I guess), but it isn't a huge factor. Your tablet generally fixes itself comfortably to your screen, and I think there are different ways to change it how you like.

Each tablet does a similar job, but depending on the type of artwork you're doing, you may want to go larger or smaller. If you're doing Animation, I find size doesn't matter too much. If you're doing serious art with various programs I'd suggest going bigger! It's all really you're choice.

I have the small one, and I am really wishing that I went the next size up. I didn't have money at the time. I still find that I can do my animations fairly easily, I am assuming it is a litle easier with a bigger one. I also have big hands too. That seems to play a little bit of a factor in my usage of the tablet. If i was to suggest a size, I would say go with the 6X8 or the next size up if you are willing to pay for it.

I had a smaller one, now I have one that is 4 times the size. It is far easier to use, but cost 10 times as much.

Theory is wrong.

Same here, and I must say that it was definitely worth it. I always had difficulty with animating some stuff because the detail of the movement was kind of restricted due to it's size. Now that I have a Wacom A4 tablet it's all a lot easier.

Exactly. I had a Wacom A6 size, cost me £30. Now I have a Wacom Intuos3 A4 size which cost me £300. Definately worth it.

I actually think size doesn't matter, I can use a smaller one just as good as a bigger one.
