so is the real question, do you mods feel sorry for yourselfs and or angry at the site/its users.

I just felt i should get a message into this thread as it seems to be one of the few ones currently active.
Anyway, i personally wouldn't like being a mod, you have to chase up and ban delinquent users and offensive threads all day long. Then all you get out of it is a gold aura and a fat load of abuse from all the irritating 12 year olds (not all 12 yr olds, just the annoying ones) who received auto-bans for doing something obviously against the rules.

At least that's the way i see it :P.

Yep, it's a sig allright.

True enough, I understood the point he was trying to make in saying what he did but I still stand by my point of it being by choice. I have done things before from feeling like if I didn't then it would be pinned on someone else, so I know where you're coming from and I'm not putting down what mods do for the site, I'm really not.

I just get pissed when I feel a person isn't being sincere in what they say and I feel that way about the majority of people that say they feel sorry for a mod or anything else of the that matter.

Maybe I'm just pissed that everyone said how they thought I was gonna be a mod, but I had to leave and I came back to the majority of people being assholes since they knew I had no chance at being a mod anymore or whatever.
This was some time ago btw, back when I never once cursed in my posts and never said anything against anymore.. aka... when I was a model poster. :/

Not at all. There will always be idiots, and although it may be frustrating when they feel the need to make a few dozen alts, it's always satisfying to know they took an exponentially longer time making, verifying, and posting with those accounts than it did for us to delete their posts/threads and ban them. And as the admins give us more tools to work with and take care of idiots like these, it just gets easier and makes their time even more wasted with much less to show for it whenever they decide to do something like that.

Knowing how much time they wasted on a site they supposedly hate makes it all worthwhile when things like that happen. Hopefully they'll look back on what happened each time and realize how pathetic they really are, to spend a half hour to an hour making accounts and spamming with them to have maybe a total of 10 people see their "work" since we are able to delete their threads and ban them within seconds of their posting.

Do you know how to get a coon out of a cheese box?

The only hard part about being a mod is the long term emotional damage it does to you. There are days when I come to the forums in a good, hearty mood, but most of the times I just cry.

I wouldn't trade it for anything else in the world though. Except maybe $50.

I've been refurbished and reissued, prepackaged and precooked, decontaminated and deloused, but I still smell, sound, look and feel like shit.

This has been said so many times, lets all feel bad for those who choose the responsibility that they have, that choose to mod these forums.

I mean seriously, if it was so bad then why do it? Status, 'power', or would it just be you say you feel sorry for them since you wish for them to see you as someone 'different' and recommend you for modship.

Go about sucking people off on a different aspect, and remember; cup those balls!

The only reason why, I said I what I said was because I've been there, and I can relate. It wasn't an attempt to suck off.. er suck up. ;)

this site is still modhyped up over it's ears, especially bbs-modship. but i guess there's a good reason that includes alot of gayporn for that.

dude, it's older than that, like 98. that's 10 years, which makes it retro. talk about not being up to date.
