but there are always big problems and its not like these problems are being ignored either. generally theres no magical fix which means stopping something in order to throw money at the problem isn't going to do much.

We are ready to help them but invasion simply isn't going to happen. Simply put, if they haven't enough trust to let us in to help, lots of innocent people are going to die.

to make peace we must prepare for war, yeah that's real smart. :P

there's mare types of power than just military you know.

for example, if we ever want to attack China we can just stop buying those plastic figurine pices of crap. Why haven't we done that instead of kickin' the asses of whoever's carrying the torch.

You can get more of what you Want with a kind word and a gun than you can with just a kind word.

The United States cannot stand idly by while people of the world are under oppression and tyranny from brutal dictators and governments.

It is our solemn duty as leaders of the Free World to bring these dictators to justice and relieve the people in the region.

They've got oil there, right?

I didn't say that they were, but I said the biggest problems need to be fixed before we should try to help others. I know that there's no magical fix and that throwing money at something won't solve it. All I'm saying is there's some things that need to be resolved before we go and get involved in Burma, if we do at all.
