Did you point and laugh? You should've pointed and laughed. It's kind of funny, because nobody around here really cares if you're over 17 or not. I was expecting the cashier lady to ask for my mother's consent or something, but she apparently didn't have a problem with me buying GTA IV.

My parents never really worried about what I played.they knew i was mature about them.I actually enjoyed playing vieo games rated M with my father like Metal Gear Solid..I played GTA3 and Metal gear solid when i was in my early teens.

As much as some people think, IV was a great game, that also wasn't just about "Sexual Content". You've already pointed out the obvious about the strip club, but it's classic to add that into the game because it makes up what is the sick, fun series of Grand Theft Auto. Nobody asked you to go to the club either I guess!

lol well that's his problem :P You shouldn't go shopping with your mom anyway, that's suicidal. My mom knows more about GTA SA than an average mom, she even knows about the Hot Coffee mod but she is like it's my own problem.

This is why I buy my games with my Dad :P

I'm so glad I have chilled out parents.

My dad pointed GTA3 out to me when I was 10 and bought it for me :)

That's hilarious. It kills me to have to tell little kids that the game they want isn't in stock, but when it a game they're not old enough to buy, I bluntly say "Sorry, you're not old enough. Get something else." Haha, that's hilarious. I don't read the rating and whats in it. I just ring them up. I look at their I.D. and that's about it.

This happned to the kid in front of me at the midnight launch. he brought his dad with him and the cash guy gave his dad the game as he was paying the rest of his preorder off he just looks at the box and says ...no.. after waiting for 2 hours in the cold! damn that poor kid stayed up till 2 am for nothing lol!
he also lost his 5$ deposit.

I think the cashier went a little to far.

I'm only 13 and my mom bought me GTA: San Andreas, rated Mature for me B-Day present. I think I didn't get busted was because my brother was with me, and he's only 15.

Yeah me too. my dad KNOWS that it's just a video game and can't harm me....but the same thing can't be said about other people since they take things differently. the government doesn't want another high school shooting to happen again. I know it sounds stupid but those dumbass kids really do get influenced by it. remember what happened when the first doom game came out? (IF YOU DON'T REMEMBER....) two students (At a high school i can't remember..) tied up teachers and shot random students. and it's dumbass's like them (And their parents) that ruin video games 4 the rest of us....sad but true....

Damn, but shows that some parents are oblivious of the true content on the games. Parents should research the game before they let their kids play it if they are underaged.

But then there are some parents, like mine, who know about the content and dont give a damn. My parents let me watch R rated movies and play violent video games, and my first cd from them was a rap cd with a lot of swearing in it on my 8th birthday. And you know what, I dont curse in public, cause harm or crime, I dont harras or be rude to others. I have been exposed to the negative media for my whole life and yet, I have turned out pretty well.
