video games: reality vs fantasy

i was playing ea skate; and you know how they boast for realism and whatnot, not only in the controls but what your player is limited to do, it made me think back to the tony hawks games - though it was real, my player felt less limited to what he could do in the game, in terms of tricks.

i then got thinking which i preferred in my games, fantasy games let you do things inhumanly possible, while having it feel like your actually doing it - yet reality games actually make me feel MORE like i'm doing what i'm doing in the game, if you can relate to that?
