The caps lock key should not be removed...There are a million other ways someone can spam in a forum or where ever else without the use of a caps lock key. Besides, I LIKE typing singular words in all caps to show stress on a given word that would otherwise be implyed in speach. I think its a stupid idea, personally.

Its true, I type in all caps when I am shouting or to be asertive. But, I still think that getting rid of the caps lock key would do anything. You could you get a weight and put it on the shift to have youself a caps lock.

I usually accidentally use it more than I actually want to.

But to be honest, Caps Lock truly is irritating. After playing some game like Halo 2, I find that Caps Lock is mysteriously on (the default button to crouch/teabag is Left Shift).

I think they may have taken it just a bit too far. I agree that it is sort of a nuisance what with noobs constantly typing in all caps, but I don't think it's necessary to rid all future computers of it.
