Holy shit. The gameplay is fucking awesome. The body cover, the chainsaw battle, the way how Marcus chainsawed the Locust. And I can see they have new weapons!

Man I can't wait.

The beginning looked like a regular scene , a normal cut scene then a little loading screen , instead we got something better.

Hopefully multiplayer will have larger maps unlike part 1

The pistol Marcus used to take out that Locust in a split second is clearly going to be a cheap weapon in online play.

Yeah, like the snub in Gears 1 wasn't cheap. Whenever you saw someone rushing you with that thing, it was pretty much bend over and spread your cheeks for the chode using it. They'll probably balance it out here.

I didn't see THAT much improvements on the graphics.

I didn't see THAT much of an improvement from Zelda on GameCube compared to Twilight Princess. And that's between a fucking generation of hardware.

Maybe an actual duel like they were saying. You know, press B, chain saws break free, press Y, chain saws break free, press B, rapidly press B, win. Not just BASH B YOU WIN. Think God of War, and that's what a lot of people expected I bet.

Can modded controllers make the B button press repeatedly, or is that just the top buttons? (LB RB LT RT) If it can then this could be a small problem.

As of the footage and gameplay. As of the first Gears. As of the second and kick-ass(er) Gears of War. As of right now, PS3 does not have SHIT on the xbox360.

I am going to love this game. It's even more awesome how the game is going to run at a higher framerate compared to GoW 1, but it looks like the blood effects were toned down.

Ah well, can't wait to take downed enemies and use them as sheilds.

I whole heartedly agree. Haze looks like it will be pretty good though. It still doesn't come close to making the PS3 purchasable in my opinion.

Look at the comparison video. I'm sure you guys remember Gears 1 was all browns and grays.

The browns and grays were achieved by lighting effects. Disable those, and there actually color in Gears 1.

I found that out because during a co-op session with a friend, his connection was bad enough to allow my 360 to only load the level and textures, but no lighting.

Sometimes when joining games it would lag and not load the lighting yet and everything would seem different. I do enjoy that it is standard now for there to be color though. Next gen graphics are either really bright or really dark it seems.

Don't forget overdone HDR and light blooms. They make a game look really nice.
