I initially downloaded Firefox when I had dial-up, and it didn't take long at all. It also updates on its own. Then it just starts up again right where you were. The "restore session" feature is nice for when you're computer crashes randomly like mine tends to. Firefox is also just more aesthetically pleasing. And it's completely customizable, kind of like a Scion.

Plenty of Ad-ons (Blocking pop ups, skins, games, forcast).

I would've given so much hell....
