Constant Registration in order to play it.
Ok, that's it, ANTI-PIRACY EFFORTS HAVE GONE TOO FUCKING FAR!
I buy all of my games legally, but instead of the companies rewarding us for deciding to buy their game legally, they decide to still fuck us with anti-piracy "efforts".
I TRIED TO ACTIVATE BIOSHOCK FOR A WEEK! A WEEK! Then I just gave up and used a crack.
Stardock's got the idea, no piracy protection, just enter your serial, and you get access to the updates, and the occasional new features.
Hell, that's why I bought Galactic Civilizations II, it's expansion pack, and Sins of a Solar Empire, the bonuses to buying it (plus, I liked 4X games.)
There's a really, really fine way to protecting your game from pirates, and just generally screwing your customers, most DRM plans, ignore that line.
Thank you Stardock, and I can't wait for the SoaSE expansion.
Ok, the latter half turned into a Stardock advertisment, so what, I like them.
