Strange.. I don't see your latest post in your history, and I seem to be missing my latest 2 posts as well.

Could well be... this kind of thing has happened a number of times before. It's usually fixed pretty quickly though, so I wouldn't worry about it too much :)

It seems to have happened to everyone after the 7th May, or at has for me, every person's posts I click on I can't see any from todays date, even yours and even my own.

It's probably a delay of the database upgrade when James was on before.

We had a false positive on some software checking for hardware failures this morning at around 6:18am.

Since these issues are not what we'd consider to be mission critical (in that all of the pages are getting generated correctly, aside from ones which search) and that tomorrow, Saturday and Sunday are the busiest times of the week for NG, we've decided to pick a day and time that will cause minimal disruption to fix them. The reason for this is that it will require the site to go down for at least 90 minutes, maybe even 2 hours, to administer the fix.

What's more annoying? The fact that you don't see recent posts you and others have made for a couple of days, or not being able to access the site for a couple of hours when you're trying to access it?

Not being able to see the posts, in my opinion. I've lost track completely of where I have posted recently, so any discussions that were ongoing are now dead in the water. It also means I can't check up on Jade and make sure she's behaving.

Although I would guess that if you have downtime on your busiest days it could affect ad revenue and that kind of thing that adults have to worry about, so do what you think is best. =)

What you need to consider, is the small amount of people who use the BBS who visit NG, and even more specifically, those who are big enough post whores to go back and check the threads they post in. It's a very small percentage in comparison to the whole of newgrounds . Whereas the downtime effects literally, every NG user ;)

Also, it's pretty easy to go through and find topics which are in the "clicked link" colour, so if after a day or so you can easily go back a few pages in whatever forum and find where you were clicking.

True enough on your overall point, but I take issue with you saying that only post whores go back and check threads they post in.

Just about every BBS on every site on the web where back and forth conversations go on require people going back to threads they've posted in in the past to sustain such convos. How does that make anyone a post whore? Someone with 40 posts in 5 years on a site could take part in a convo over the course of a few days in one specific thread...

If anyone is having problems finding threads they've been involved in convos they want to be able to find quickly during this search-page-freeze, I suggest you create shortcuts/bookmarks of the important threads' current pages (or the last page you posed on in them, of course).
