360 Just Blew Up?

I've owned my 360 for quite some time now, and I just recently bought a PS3.

Well, I booted up my 360 to get my game on not too long ago - first time since purchasing the Playstation, actually - and it brought up only a black screen with the words "Competition Detected, Running Self-Destruction Sequence." I tried turning the unit off but to no avail. Unplugging both the unit and the TV doesn't work - I think it's running off of some inside power source / backup generator? I tried calling the Help and Support / Warranty line at their toll free number, but it had me type in the serial number on the unit and once completed, the line went dead.

I'm scared to go to sleep for fear that I won't wake up due to being blown up. What do I do? Has anybody else had this problem? How did you fix it?
