Whether or not it looks good or it doesn't, you should grow a beard at least once just as a personal thing. That is, unless not shaving is easy for you.

I personally always succumb to the razor before it can turn into a beard. This week, though I have made a little calendar on my wall to stop myself. The hairs I grow are blonde-ish when they grow out but in their short state they are quite dark. Not a cool dark colour either, but a bland greyish brown. I've not gotten the full beard past 11 days, and so hopefully this time things will be different.

I'm growing one as well. Been 2 months. Got a fair amount of side hair as well as fuzzyness on the chin. Make sure you shave the mustache off though, don't want that. I'm going for the full beard and from the ears down to the chin-line. No mustache!

Don't do it. There are too many reasons why it's not a good idea to begin to list...

I shaved the sideburns off the other day and am considering trying to do something with the rest of it. Currently a tossup between handlebars or a tash, soul patch and stuble.

I'm on my 4th beard, I think. This one is my 2nd largest, but it's getting out of hand. It's getting too scraggly on the sides (although the chin is nice and full). I may shave it soon.

If you can deal with the constant itch the be my guest.

I think you should. But also, let your hair grow for about 6 months, it will get about 2 - 3 inches longer and will suit the beard better.

Mine isn't itchy, really. At least, not right now. Maybe it was when it was just growing in, I don't remember. It feels nice to scratch it, though, even if it's not itchy.
