I think my country sucks, so what? Yeah we are free to the point where we are not slaves. We have our freedom of speech, but barely. There's not too much you can legally say. You can't express a point to the law without getting fined or imprisoned for it. Ask my neighbor. We have freedom of religion, or at least I thought. You can't wear turbans at school. And you can't change religions if you wanted to as a minor. We have freedom of press, though. That is the only free thing I can think of, but do you work for the press? So what is your opinion, Newgrounds. Put your two cents in. Hate it or love it?

You can't wear Turbans because of the no-hat policy, not a lack of freedom of religion.

And how the fuck do you have freedom of press but not freedom of speech?

Exactly. That's too much of a contradiction.

So a school rule of no hat policy over powers the Constitution? I don't think so. Newspapers and magazines, real or fake, say what they want about who they want and not get in trouble for it. And if you don't work for the press, government, or law enforcement, you can't offend anybody. It's called ''harassment''

WRONG.

Ask my neighbor. We have freedom of religion, or at least I thought. You can't wear turbans at school. And you can't change religions if you wanted to as a minor.

Most schools don't allow hats, and not being able to change religion as a minor is your family's fault.

Its not that big of a deal, it would be worst if they were exempt from a rule because of their religion.

I don't think so. Newspapers and magazines, real or fake, say what they want about who they want and not get in trouble for it.

Ever hear of slander or smear campaign law suits?

Not one of these again.....

At 5/7/08 06:33 PM, EMINEM08 wrote: We have our freedom of speech, but barely. There's not too much you can legally say. You can't express a point to the law without getting fined or imprisoned for it.

I fail to see an example of said point.

Ask my neighbor. We have freedom of religion, or at least I thought. You can't wear turbans at school.

Ever heard of a no hat policy. Hat is defined as anything that is put on your head,s o good luck with that. Also, that's in your school, not the whole country. That's like saying One town said that you can't wear yellow and you say it's illegal to wear yellow in the whole country. Nonsense.

And you can't change religions if you wanted to as a minor.

Not officially. If you truly don't believe in whatever you used to, you aren't that religion anymore.

We have freedom of press, though. That is the only free thing I can think of,

Then you are FUCKTARDED

but do you work for the press?

The above statement makes no sense. I gather you're trying to say if you don't work for the press, then what? Let me tell you something, in the 1700's the press is anything that's written down. Learn history.

So what is your opinion, Newgrounds.

The majority of NG doesn't fucking care.

Put your two cents in. Hate it or love it?

I love my country, but simple minded idiots like you make me hate the people in it.

Changing your religion is up to the religious structures, not the government.

And if you're going to a public school they can't recognize one religion over another or all the students could make up bullshit about how their religion says this or that. And if they didn't listen to everyone then they would be sued for unfair treatment.

Make compromises. You're living with a lot of other people, you can't always have it your way. That is what a government is, a compromise of some of your rights for protection, land, and stability.

And you do have a freedom of speech except when you use it to hurt others. Such as slander. Otherwise you're completely free to say what you like. Are you not on these forums voicing your opinion? In China they would ban this kind of talk in a hot second.

Have you ever even studied deeply or been to another country?

Then wouldn't that be dicriminating age? And like I said, no school policy should over power the Constitution. Eminem got arrested for announcing he was locked and loaded on one of his albums, not posing any threats. And other rappers are getting banned just because people find lyrics offensive.

No, everyone has to follow school policy.

And like I said, no school policy should over power the Constitution.

A no hat rule does not over power the Constitution.

Eminem got arrested for announcing he was locked and loaded on one of his albums, not posing any threats. And other rappers are getting banned just because people find lyrics offensive.

We aren't full fledged citizens yet.

AND LEARN WHAT FUCKING DISCRIMINATION IS.

My office is oppressing us for making me wear suits instead of letting me come to work in a pimp suit.

School policy doesn't overpower the constitution in any way

Thats called censorship, and they aren't being banned, they're record companies just aren't putting out there records or stores won't sell them.

You're a fucking moron. Yes, the no hat policy DOES over power the Constitution. Schools, businesses, etc. are allowed to set their own guidelines for what you can and can not wear. Think of it like this. You're a steel worker, and you show up in shorts, a t-shirt, and flip-flops. What's gonna happen? You're gonna get hurt. Really really badly. So, of course schools can set something called RULES maybe? If the government tried to stop you from wearing religious stuff, THEN it'd be against the Constitution. Also, freedom of speech, expression, etc. do NOT apply to privately own businesses or schools.

Looks like SOMEBODY needs to pay attention in Civics class!

Good point. In addition to that, it's like saying...sure, you have freedom of speech to call customers that come into your store fucktards. However, your company has a policy against that. They can fire you for that.
