I wouldn't mind it being a remake of Doom 2, if that means I'm going to be out in the sun more then its cool. Instead of me being in some dark, corridor where I cant see shit.

doom 3 had a moderate story line good enemies and bosses but all the levels looked the same. hope they'll fix that

Well, it's not like they're just slapping "Four" on it and releasing it. They have to make new engines, new gameplay for the new consoles, and an updated story to an extent more than likely.

Actually, this could well possibly be a launch title for the next gen consoles. That'd be pretty cool.

I agree. I hope there is some level variation. Also, I liked Doom 3 but it wasn't fast paced like the old doom games. I miss killing armies of mindless demons. I guess they couldn't do that in Doom 3 so the game was more about being a horror genre. I miss the mass murder demons simulator.

Doom 3 was very samey to me, dark corridors and random deamons jumping out, it was more about "jump scares" than fast paced demon mowdowns.

I personally don't like it when developers change something that works for the sake of just having a change.

With that said I hope with 4 they move back to the roots of the series, gameplay wise not a "reimaging" of the first two games.

I'm ready to shit my pants all over again! Doom 3 scared the fuck out of me and I'm ready for more of that.

However, I do agree that the armies of mindless demons was a sadly missing. Personally I think that some form of combination between armies of demons and scare the-crap-out-game play would be the best option. Also it would be kind of different from all other FPS games out there that either scare the crap out of you with environment and single monsters or the hordes of mindless enemies.

Am I the only one who found Doom 3 to be REALLY boring? Sure the graphics were nice but the story was horrible and the everything about the game was average.

Compared to other AAA shooters, Doom 3 was nothing special at all.

I partly agree - D3 was just `different` from the previous games.I didn`t expect it to turn in a horror FPS.
