Yeah, there's some good points all floating around out there about a bunch of different things. I mean sure, the box has been done to death in other animations and such, but some decent writing could possibly place a spin on it (I'm thinking A Couple Of Shorts Finale's 'stick in a trash can' part, if you haven't seen it, I recommend checking it out by the way as a side note). I understand why there aren't any box jokes allowed, but there's my two cents about that.
And ok, maybe a tablet is more efficent that a mouse to create graphics (random switching topics!) but you could make ado with the tools that Flash and neighboring programs give you. Of course, there's always the sketch and scan method (which is what I personally use) where you just take the sketch, colour it, split it apart into different library items, and go from there. Just (again) a by the way statement.
Also, you really don't need a mic to make a good animation and if you don't have one, realistically why would you put voice actors into your animation, assuming that someone will step to the call? I mean, how about a Metal Gear Music Video?
I will also reference Tummygas' view on 'just scrap it if it's really that bad' on page seven. I mean, I agree with him as if it's that bad and you do go through with it, people will just be disapointed with it.
Farthermore, I believe someone stated that it would be nice to have a survey for the next collab topic so more artists would join in and therefore, more good artists. However, if not enough decent submissions come in to create a full, good collab, why not just reintroduce this collab (or if this succeeds in the end), a new collab in the summer? I mean, so many flashers go to school as they are in the teenage group, you'd have so much more time to polish up your submissions in the summer compared to time being filled up by homework, school teams, etc. This combined with the survey for the collab topic would raise awareness, and dedication through the roof - you do better flashing a target you like!
And so, that is my huge rant about this collab based upon most recent comments. Take it or leave it NG, but at least I'm giving (hopefully) good ideas even though I cannot join said collab (I said this before, I want a nice, polished animation as I do not want to be one of those artists that spam the portal, no offense to you however, I'm sure much work went into your animations in that time-frame).
