Well, I don't know if some of the original members remember, but I was talking about trying out a Ouija Board.

Well, long story short we found one at my cabin (Milton Bradly made it) and we tried it out. Needless to say, it didn't work. The plancette (or whatever it's called) did move, but veerrryyy slowly (took a minute to get to 'YES') And I even wonder if it was the people I was with.

We followed and read some instructions, and I'm wondering if it had to do with the authenticity of the board.

I was even considering burning it (big no-no) just to see if anything happens, but I guess I should try and practice with it more often before I can jump to a conclusion.

Should I try buying one?

Yes, Ouija Boards aren't always going to work. Don't expect when you get it, a ghost will instantly come and talk. It could take days, weeks, months or in some cases years.

One time when my aunts were young they used a ouija board when they were done they were all scared and pale my grandma got rid of it

Don't give up so easy, take your time with it and be patient. Have a go with it twice a week or something and see if anything happens. Like Complete said a sprit isn't necessarily going to pop up straight away. So keep at it and DON'T burn it or destroy it in an other way.

How exactly did she get rid of it? There are certain ways of disposing of a board safely.

Shabbo, what was the temperature like when the chair started to move and the picture fell? And also did anything else happen outside that could be considered strange? For example did a dog start barking wildly for no reason? did birds suddenly become quiet or fly away? Anything like that?

Hey guys, I'm back. sorry, just on top of the ban and school, NG has been pushed aside. Nothing has recently happened in my house, but the club has been pretty active. Shabbo, your story sunds interesting, but CHicken-Reaper, try to put a little more detail into the story. that's it.

*UPDATE* As you may know i have working camera software now and what this means is i can go to my local haunted location and get pics etc... I'm planning on going early next week. I will get some pictures of the place in day light and provide some more history. I will then return with pics and maybe video at night and see if anything gets picked up. I will also do the same with the arch i have been posting about.

I also promised some interesting links for everyone to have a look at. So now things are a bit slower around here i will share them with you. Enjoy...(Some touch on cryptozoology and other such things but mainly fall under the strange and supernatural)

I love the story about Spring heeled jack. Its like a much more interesting version of Jack the Ripper which is saying something. The Thames angel seems pretty convincing to me, I was a bit skeptical watching the Korean video but the presenter seemed genuinly shook up about it.

Yeah when you get someone like a TV presenter who is meant to be respected it kind of convinces you a little more. Like when top army brass freak out about UFO's. Spring Heeled Jack is my favorite tale/legend, very creepy and very strange. Thanks for taking a look, glad you found them interesting.

Woot! a Pluthera of stories. I havent been as active as before as well, school is overwhelming and i havent got around to going to some murder scenes.
