SAT's are nothing, and I mean NOTHING to worry about. Seriously, they don't determine anything - it's GCSE's and A-level's you have to look out for.

Umm, not necessarily true. I got Level 8 in Maths and now I'm in the top set. Our teacher often teaches us AS stuff and half the time I've got no fucking clue what he's on about.

He's an idiot then. Whats the point in teaching you AS level stuff if he hasnt tought you the higher level GCSE stuff?

Had my first one today, didn't bother revising of course; three Math tests.
Paper 1 I found quite simple, few algebra questions tricked me slightly - kept on my feet tho; and passed them.

Paper 2 (calculator paper) was again, easy. If not easier with the help of the calculator.

The last was a mental test, sucked at it bad - I can't seem to work things out without writing them down sometimes, so I generally suck at this sort of stuff.

Tomorrow should be fun, English writing tasks - a short and long writing task. I always find these somewhat fun.

It's interspersed with it.

The thing is, most of the class nods along. And I'm left there privately thinking 'uhh what the fuck?'

Urgh, the Maths tests were okay, got about all but one right on the Mental, did okay on the other 2 main ones, though some questions were hard them being 6-8 :(

When do we get our levels?

Not looking forward to English writing tomorrow... Nor Shakespeare.

I am, which Shakespeare extract have you been learning?
We've been doing The Tempest, I think it changes each year, (I.e Hamlet was last year)
I'm quite fond of English, and I have no worries. I should easily piss through it, Science can sometimes be a bit annoying, but I'm sure I'll do well.

It was Maths today was it? I always did have trouble with Trigonemetry ( i cant be arsed to spell it right).

I personally found the Science test the easiest. The Long writing english test is always fun because you can create a little story even though i hardly never finished my stories. Not enough time. Good luck with the rest of the week.

It sucks that you guys have to write essays in your SATs nowadays.

I feel like I got off much easier with the Math/Verbal style test.

SATs mean a much different thing in Britain than they do in America.

Don't worry if you didn't revise, I didn't even know we were having them and i still got 8, 7, 7.

If you fuck up all your SATs they will put you in the bottom group then you wont be able to learn anything then you will fuck up your GCSEs A-Levels are a different matter but it always helps to have those GCSEs.

Yeah, I had my writing today, managed to do planning and 6 pages in about 1 hour 15, my wrist ached like a bitch though :P Got Much Ado About Nothing tomorrow and the Reading exam.

For the kid that doesn't get Trig, it's pretty hard to get your head around but using SohCahToa helps a ton.

Dammit, at my school English Literature is compulsory for GCSE >:(
