Actually Canada is less democratic; Canada is actually a constitutional monarchy. Lets face it, the American system of government is beginning to crumble and we're just pissed because the combination of politicians bloated upon special interest money (Pork) aren't willing to change a thing.

How is it beggining to crumble? All the leaders have been elected, at every point in time people have been displeased with the many forms of government that america has taken. Lincoln was both the most popular president and the most hated (by the south of course) The war was fought supposedly over slavery, but that is not the case. FDR had more then 2 terms in office during world war 2 and the world didn't end even though that is technically illegal as defined by the constitution.

For instance:
The government wont legalize marijuana because politicians curry favor with the majority by coming down hard on such things. The destruction of marijuana grown in the united states costs our government a great deal of resources, time, money and manpower, It also opens up the opportunity for marijuana to come in through the border.

aha, this is the only hot button topic you care about. It is illegal in canada to sell, by or use pot without a medical lisence meaning only a couple thousand people in all of canada can legally do this. To put it into perspective there are certain dangerous drugs like LSD that universities are allowed to use for experiments with people etc.

The ironic thing is that it would actually HELP the economy if Marijuana was made legal, because almost all of it would be grown Here, thus eliminating the criminal middleman.

I don't know about you but personally I don't want to be giving my kids more reasons to mess with their brain chemistry; Alcohol is bad enough. Honestly people think they can drive better when they are stoned but it really only makes their driving worse, and can be compared to alcohol use. It is far to late to ban alcohol and look at all those alcohol related deaths from car accidents, they make up over 70 percent of car accidents! Just think if another substance of that nature got legalized!

There is a lot of things that the government doesn't do or wont fund, for asinine reasons, and there are things that it does sanction, that are completely Farked up.

And that is the only thing you brought up, you just proved you are a dumb stoner. Obviously your only interest is your own personal use, but you are too selfish to think about the big picture; such as some people can develop schizophrenia after using cannibis which is one of the worst mental illness's to have. Despite having no LD-50; Pot still has the chance to cause cancer (in some rare cases it may prevent the cancer it is creating) and takes away the will to get anything achieved.

Weed is also a gateway drug, and don't tell me it is not. All my freinds started on cronic before they got into drugs like estacy etc. Because eventually you have such a high concentration of THC and other chemicals in your system that pot has very little effect and you need a bigger drug in order to get the same type of halluconations etc.

You sir are typing this in the morning when everyone in america presumably besides the farthest west states are in school telling me you are either skipping to faining illness. However you may also not be going to school and doing nothing more productive then working at a Mc Donalds.

To tell you the truth I've lived in America my whole life and I've never met a single person who disliked canada. Although I've been to Italy, Mexico, Canada, France, England, and Germany and it was evident there that there is a lot of hate towards Americans (this was even before the iraq war).

I'll tell you weed is not a gateway drug. What you said in this post is so fucking stupid it's unreal. Just because you have stupid friends doesn't mean it was caused by weed. FYI people smoke weed because they like the way weed feels, going on to harder drugs does not make them feel the same therefore, they might as well skip smoking weed and go straight for the bad stuff because that is what they are looking for anyway. Also, you can smoke weed for 30 years and still enjoy your high so don't believe that tolerance bullshit that people talk about. If weed wasn't around then people would be calling alcohol or pain pills a gateway drug.
