Cigarette = Fag to Brits its the same thing just in reverse.

Because, believe it or not, Americans and English people have different names for the same object.

Here's a list of words that have two different meanings the British use.

Bloody - See above
Blooming - "Give me back my blooming (something)" or "the flower is blooming"
Blinding - Means brilliant or it can me being blinded
Camp - Gay and I'm not sure if the American usage of camp is used in Brittan.
Clobber - Clothes or to Beat up someone
Shark(ing) - Looking for someone to date or a Shark.

God I hate when Brits bring this up. You guys just sent over some people. Woo hoo. We stayed over here because obviously it was better. We won our independence.

Culture means things like music, lifestyles, and literature and more. The only real thing you gave us for music is the Beatles, who were inspired by Elvis. Our lifestyles have barely, if any, been effected by you. Our literature may be effected by you. I do enjoy Harry Potter which are the only books I like from Brittan.
