ok how do i put this. Im making an overhead RPG. My chracter is a simple stick. When the up arrow key is down i want my animations to look like hes moving instead of having a circle with 2 lines on the sides hovering around. Can someone tell me how to animate him?

First off, make sure that the title of your thread has correct spelling.
As for animating, you really can't ask someone how to animate something. You have to use your style, and you have to figure it out for yourself. Just experiment and see what looks right.

are you using flash?

if so, look for actionscript tutorials on movement.

You have to animate him moving up and moving down left and right and make each direction into a movie clip... Then Hook it up to ur actionscript so that it plays it when u hit up it plays the movie clip of him moving up

a. you don't know shit about actionscript, and
b. that's not what he wanted to know.
