I don't understand religion.

I REALLY don't get it anymore. I thought I got it but now I'm confused. Also, this is not a 'do you believe in a religion?' topic, so don't flame (I know you will but be gentle).

Ok here goes. Most religion came from Abraham when God visited him and opted him to move to a land called Canaan (modern day Israel). One of his sons, Isaac, started the religion of Judaism (Jewism). Abraham's first born, Ishmael, started another religion, Judaic (which fails) and is a prophet of Islam. A couple hundred years later, Jesus (who is either God's child or is an incarnation of God.), was born and began the religion Christianity. He is quoted as saying "The only way to find God is through me" (or something close to that.) which means, all of the other religions are merely false babble. But Christianity, Jewism, and Islam are the cause of Abraham going to Israel because God told him to. So doesn't that mean God fucked up and had to come down here and fix it or something?

Nobody gets it, there's no clear interpretation of the Bible.

But we're damn strict on what we think are Gods words.

That's because "Jesus" isn't the real "Jesus".
The real "Jesus" was Jesusaur, a T Rex that lived in the late Crestacious Period. Once you understand that. all religions make sense.

The Bible in a most people's minds is the stories of Noah and all that but in all actuality it's more of a collection of Gospels from Jesus's disciples. That is the part of the Bible that is to be taken to heart not the moral stories that come before. The gospel's were picked by Constantine that is true they weren't written by one single man making that argument of yours null and void.

EvilVulture and AdolfHitler or whatever saying its a fictional book written by one man. As for religion most people find it too hard to believe that nothing came from nothing. So they have to fall back on something to help them get through life. It is a common theme from the Greek God's to explain phenomena beyond their comprehension to the teachings of Jesus leading so many. They just want something to believe in plain and simple, most people's biggest fear whether or not they are willing to admit it is this is it one life and your done. Religion may seem foolish to some put sometimes people just want something to protect them from life. Religion can be a strong force but it can also be a crutch. The reasons vary but that is it in general.

QTF. I mean, have any of you tried to comprehend infinity? I mean, think about it (Stop reading if you don't want to be depressed): Do we have an afterlife? If we do, would it last forever? What IS forever? Wouldn't it get boring? What's the point of life on earth if afterlifes keep going? IS there a point? And if there isn't an afterlife, will we care? What would it be like, not existing?
