In my opinion, Linkin Park is crap. Even I could make better music (and I suck).

It also is bad that you hear it a lot on YouTube videos, it kinda drives you crazy.

One the new, whinny shit, that sounds like a a cat fucking a chicken. Some of the older stuff is good, though.

I've not noticed any deviant sexuality in their lyrics, but then again, I can't make out their lyrics. it's too heavy and violent for me and I have my suspicions about the motives of these Very Metal bands.

The only reason why Linkin Park is popular is because of their leigions of twelve-year-old fans. The only reason why twelve-year-olds listen to them is because Chester Bennington's high-pitched, whiny voice reminds said twelve-year-olds of their own prepubescent voices.

What is more accurate and reliable? Asking random people their opinion about music or listening to the music and finding out for yourself?

Remixes that emphasize Shinoda's rapping, rather than Bennington's whining/singing/screaming are the best.
Most of their songs are really BLEH to me now, though.

A lot of their songs are catchy, but I generally don't listen to them and think they are a bit overrated.

The new CD wasn't all that great, but it had a few good songs on it.
But the only other CD I've listened to is their hybrid-theories(sp) CD, and I liked it fine.

It's a remix album of Hybrid Theory, and is actually pretty good.

I saw Linkin Park live on their Meteora tour, and quite honestly I thought they sucked pretty hard. I really liked them beforehand, but that really killed it for me. Also, their lead singer sucks serious ass when it comes to singing. Their new album didn't really have anything good, so all in all, I hate Linkin Park, their more like a phase I went through before I realized how crappy their music sounded.

Some people perform better in some settings compared to others. Some bands flourish in the studio and others are only alive when onstage. It also depends upon the venue, they can have bad acoustics, or incompitent sound engineers.

To go off a band because of one concert is not wise, my friend.

I know they could have had a bad night or something could have happened that could have screwed with their whole sound, or maybe the place they were at had shitty acoustics, but you would think that a band with that much popularity at the time would have had their shit together, not to mention they only came to my state during the end of their tour, so you would figure that they would have ironed out any sound issues. I don't know, maybe that's just me.
