Right, so what I want to know is: Are you getting surrounded?
While you're playing this game, do you ever find yourself in a predicament where there's an enemy infront of you and an enemy behind you at the same time? Especially with the average (not muscular) looking guys, I'd like to know.
If so: Well that's fantastic, because I don't think any other Flash beat-em-up does that.

I'm using more varied enemies in this game. Like that homeless guy isn't a boss, he's just an enemy. Also I'll be playing around with enemy coulur schemes. For information n shit, check out my last (or second to last?) news post.
Someone answer the question about being surrounded. You can try to convince enemies to surround you by being cocky and doing things like running passed them or start punching before they get to you. It'll probably just happen anyway though.
Yes I got surrounded. And I never got knocked back from there, so basically lost all my life. =(

I might have to do somethin about that- Like knock you out of the crowd if you get punched too frequently...
I can't beat the homeless guy. He won't let me use the S attack because he keeps hitting me, and he does tons of damage. He knocks me out and then drinks. Ease up the difficulty.
I beat him, but only by pinning him to the wall and punching him, and he still killed me in the process. Blocking would be nice.

I'm not adding the ability to block in this for the same reason I didn't add a health bar to CannonCrotch.

I didn't eat him, just the garbage around him to gain it's powers. He wouldn't let me use the powers because he punched me and threw knives at me when I tried to use them.
Well I Could Hit Him but i couldnt bite or eat him it was odd , and yeah i think you stoll that character
I've had both types get in front of me and behind me, I simply just moved downward though, then to the left or right to get out of the group.
I did encounter one glitch though, with the homeless guy. If he starts throwing knifes at you and then if you go all the way to the top or bottom, he stands in one spot throwing the knifes while the knifes don't hit you... And he was quite hard for "Not being a boss".
Also, when you breath fire, and then when you stop breathing it, the fire particles just go away? It would be nice if they still kept going. Other than that, this game is pretty cool.
You adding barriers to this? Like make it so you can't walk through the bars and stuff.

Are you saying you could just walk all over the screen? That happened to me once ages ago and I don't have a clue why.

OK, I've come to a conclusion; there are three ways of doing this and I'm not happy about either:
Close his mouth and wait for the fire animation to finish before you can move again. I'm not doing that, because you'd be standing there for about another ten frames.
Make the fire faster, so it can finish quickly and you can get going again. I'm not doing that because it makes the fire look terrible and confusing.
Animate frame-by-frame fire. I'm not doing that because gimmee a break, I've got enough fbf animation to do.

I'm confused? Your not attaching it? Because all you have to do is if the current frame of the breathing animation or w/e is not greater than 20 or less than 10, then just attach the particles. It's that simple, isn't it?
No it's INSIDE the BREATHING FIRE ANIMATION movieclip.
Underneath the Layer with the guy's head on it and above the layer with the fbf fire on it.
So if I left the particles there, you'd have to STAY ON that animation for them to gradually dissapear. That means you can't start running or anything, which would soon annoy players.

Then make a movieclip called holder on the _root with a position of 0 and 0, then put it on a layer just behind the player? Then do something like:
_root.holder.attachMovie("particle","particle"+_root.holder.getNextHighestDepth(),_root.holder.getNextHighestDepth(),{_x:_root.player._x, _root.player._y:_y});
But then again, that won't really work because it would be behind the fbf flame too...
