It gets good when it gets into it!
I think you need to work on making the whole thing come together, right now it sounds like you have all these good ideas floating around, but they don't transition into each other and sound different.
Should probably try to work on building it up and making it all one cool-sounding chorus.
Sound FX were well attemped
00:34 onwards = Epic, work on making that the main focus.

What I would work on for now (because it sounds like you are new-ish to making music), is to put together ONE main chorus/pattern thingy. Basicly 4-8 bars of pure awesome that you would want playing when the song gets into it!
Ideas:
1 - Lead Synth: You already have this down fine, so I wont go into depth on it.
2 - Bass: Offbeats (every second 8th note) using "Sytrus - Digi" would sound good. So it sounds like "kick, Bass, Kick, Bass"
3 - Synth Offbeats: Sometimes it sounds nice to have a synth going on the offbeats aswell, just make sure its not TOO loud otherwise it will drown out your main melody.
4 - Chords: I noticed you had some strings going in the initial stages of the build-up. When it gets to the main techno part, have a Pad or Gate synth going in the backround to harmonise it.
Thats basically it.... So have all those going at once and see how it sounds, and then figure out a way of building it up progressivley. So you might start with your strings/chords, and then add some drums, then fade in the melody, and then go into the full blown chorus adding bass and offbeats.
...Also try to include some cymabls at the beggining of every 4-bar sequence, it helps to liven up the song =D
Hope this helps!
