So, I sold my WoW account

I had an orc shaman in mostly T5 gear, and a troll mage in blues. It sold for 500 bucks. I feel bad, because even though I officially quit playing, I was attached to the characters somewhat, and I still played every now and then. I hope I didn't get ripped off either lol. Though the money should be safe in my bank account sooner or later.

Has anyone else sold their characters before? Oh, and I know that if I got ripped off, I can get my account back through a slow and meticulous procedure with Blizzard, involving me faxing them my information and whatnot. Though the buyer seemed nice and said that they'd keep in touch with me.

yeah i know how u feel... with my rs account... im thinkin about sellin it, i could get quite alot for it, but id feel horrible, like u, ive put maaaaaany hours into it, and it kinda seems like a waste, and if its anythin like my addiction to rs, then u will ALWAYS feel a bit "did i get ripped off" "i wish i still had it just to check..." and stuff like that, its a bit like something uve worked soooo hard for... i love ranting on like this

I subscribe to Final Fantasy XI, where all rmt activities, including selling gil, items or accounts, are strictly prohibited (though practiced a lot).

Just interested, how fast could you build a WoW character that's worth hundreds of dollars, and could you get more money from it than the amount you've spent on the monthly subscription fees?
