My Dad Is A Bitch

I dont know if some of you will remember but I made a topic a couple of days ago about me getting a dog in about a week, well my mum said I would get one in a week and when I talked to my dad about it he said 6 weeks, I woke up this morning and he said 'he cant ethicaly buy me a dog' what the hell does he mean? he wont talk to me any more about it, I wish he would just leave my mom and get outta my life.

I don't mean to be rude, but Newgrounds doesn't give a crap. These kinds of threads seem to pop up all the time and there are much better reasons to hate your parents than they took away your Xbox or because you got two scoops of ice cream instead of three.

At least he didn't get you the dog, and then when you went on vacation, had someone come to the house and take it to the pound and tell you it got stollen.

That's what my dad did, granted he fessed up to it and we got the dog back.

Still, it could be a lot worse.

Seeing as you are 13 years old, and a dog lives for around 10 to 12 years (on average), realistically you would need to be caring for the animal until you are at least around 23. Taking it to the vet, training it, walking it, buying it's food, trying to get an apartment when you move out of home that allows animals, etc.

Now, I don't know you, but I couldn't imagine you doing this. Hell, I couldn't do it when I got a dog at your age. As such, it's really a family dog, which the family looks after when the child becomes bored of it (usually only takes a year or two max).

So yeah, if your father doesn't want to look after it, and he doesn't think you are capable, then he is probably right in what he is doing.
