Actually.. I hold the door for everyone, no matter who they are.

And I went hiking today on South Mountain, and while I was on the trail, everyone that walked past me said either, good morning, hello, how you doing? People are very kind in Phoenix.

I act like a total dick and beat the shit out of old people.

I can honestly affirm that i am a great gentleman. Doors, lost wallets (always got a big reward) and flying papers in the wind, are my job.

I'm pretty much convinced I live in the best area on earth. At my ENORMOUS public school, it's pretty much unheard of that anyone who notices someone behind them about to enter/exit a door will hold it for them, at the very least the duration they're within range.

... I use it specifically to ensure cute looking women don't have to hold their own door open. I mean, if you've got a reasonable excuse, why not?

Same here, I'll hold a door for someone but I won't pull out a chair, give them a foot massage or whatever it is that will label me as weak. Or weird. I don't know anyone who can give someone a complimentary foot massage and escape without being labelled a creep or something.

Sigh... Although you and I have our "Disagreements", I was tempted to post in this. I have been called a gentleman, although I would think I am rather the opposite. Sure... I hold doors open, offer chairs, offer my hoodie, carry things, even putting the toilet seat down... And sure, I do this regardless of the circumstances, but I really don't think that constitutes being a gentleman. I've read a book on how to be one and I'm sure I, nor 99.9% of the BBS for that matter, would fit into the description of one. It was called "How to be a Gentleman" by John Bridges. Its really a convoluted process to be one and I would rather not be one. I just have a firm belief in Karma and using Bushido as a moral code, as well as the fact that I am naturally a "Giver". Trust me, its better to not be a gentleman, gentlemen.

I'll hold the door for someone, and then a mob of people will come through. I feel the need to hold the door for everyone until I can leave properly without having to shut the door on someone...

It alls really depend on my mood. Usually, I'll always let the women go first, help them when they need a hand, be gentle and polite, and such...

But sometimes I'm just going to be in a bad mood and have a "fuck off" attitude towards women who seem to ask for too much... or who believe they should have everything acquired.

But I'm usually a gentlemen... when not drunk.

Oh, how I adore gentlemen. Last weekend I met the most wonderful guy who held the door open for me and gave me his jacket when I was cold. Small gestures impress me and I was surprised, 'cause around here they're a rare find it seems.

I do that all the time but i do regret give my jacket to people at times, like this one time i was hanging with my friends downtown it was fuck cold as hell due to winter and all and those fucking retards decide to only wear a t-shirt, so i end up losing my jacket, sweater, and t-shirt leaving me with only a muscle shirt on :(

I tend to find myself a gentleman, yes. I nearly always hold open doors and help with strollers when women want to go down stairs.

I'm sucha ganetleman, that I believe Senor Don Quixote Of La Mancha to be the greatest person to have ever not lived.
