I have many times tried to make an intro to use for my flashes, but I guess it's time for me to realize that animation just isn't my thing.

As I myself cannot create an intro that looks somewhat decent, and I don't want to give people a bad impression even before the main menu of the game, I'm hereby arranging a contest :)

The winner will receive all of the following:

-A spot in the credits of all the games that I use the intro for
-Bragging rights (well, it's gotta be worth at least something to being able to say that you won this contest ^^ )
-Possible chance of making more graphic-related stuff for me in the future (yayness!)
-Last, but not least: A grand total of $13.97!! (All the money that I've got on my PayPal account atm)

Before you say anything; Yeah, I know it's not very much, but then again I'm not really looking for something award-winning ;P

So anyway, I'll probably let this contest run for about a week. I will retain the rights though to end it earlier if I get something that I really like, and to nullify the contest if none of the submissions are good enough.

Some guidelines before you get started:

-Length: about 4-8 seconds
-Prefferably a web 2.0-ish style
-There should be a text saying 'DreamworX' (nothing more, nothing less)

Also, in my own attempts at this I found that it could be cool to in some way emphasize either the D & X, or the D, W & X, in some way. This is not a must though.

You mean dimensions? Yeah, 550x400 is probably good. I usually make my flashes a little bit bigger, but it shouldn't be a problem.

That was actually pretty cool :) I do see some small stuff I would like changed, but they are very small so if I do decide to use it I would be able to do those myself. If you want to increase your chances of winning you can make them though:
-Remove the "programmer" text in the background
-Make the final text centered (vertically)
-Put the word "productions" below DX

Other than that it was really great, I like it more every time I watch it :D I'm not quite convinced enough to end the competition already though.

Goddamn it, I have no idea why, but when I redid it, Flash is fucking up. I have the glow on the inside of the movie clip now, and it doesn't show on the outside except a few white spaces. I have no idea what to do. It should work, but flash is fucking it up.

It increased because the music file is probably huge. Edit it down to the only section you need.

Well, I had the 5 second clip in that one up there, I copied all the frames and put em into a new document and renamed it, so it works now. It's at a whopping 240 kb.

Sorry, it looks fairly decent, but as it is now you are pretty far behind the other entries.

I really liked this one as well :D Haven't really got anything to suggest for improving it either.

So, just to give you an idea: if I were to pick a winner right now, it would either be plant-eating-cat or salted-tator-tot. But I won't.
