This is for a specific artist really. This is just a sample that I made really. Something I cooked up really quick.

are you asking what we think?
if so i have few suggestions....
the top horizontal black bar ... drop it down a lil bit and make it skinnier
the vertical black bar skinny it up as well leaving a lil more of the background as border
the text is cool great job
the eye arrows could be drop shadowed using the other eyes color.
other than that if i saw this cd case in the store i would stop and pick it up.
i just threw together showing you what i mean but you have all the original bits
so parts by the mouth would have to be looked at as if you had the rest
hope you dont mind just trying to give an honest opinion the only way i know how. by demonstration

Truly? I was just trying to throw it at the artist, and any suggestions welcomed. I really like your version, it's better than mine. Great suggestions and additions. Where did you edit? I found the program online and was just putzing around with it and I sort of liked what came out of it. I really appreciate your input, it's hard to get good advice on the 'net.

I love using Gimp i have version 2.2.14 which is the only version i have found that works with Windows Vista. You need to install GTK+2 in order to use it.
I really like your cd cover idea. It is the only reason i offered my ideas. I was in no way trying to improve on your already decent work. Just trying to show what i meant without going over my 8,000 limit :D
Opinions expressed and all that jazz. I also thought the photo background and the top layer should be closer in texture/quality .

Am I the only one who doesn't like it? You just added text, a couple of black boxes, and arrows. The arrows are very pixelated, "flesh" is hard to see, and there seems to be useless black and white space.

do you see the black bars as a ltr "f" and the outline box as the left side of a large "v"
that might help you get it, the only problem i have with it is that the text and bars seem to be conflicting with the other image. if they appeared to be either in the same enviroment it would be very appealing. this is something that will jump out when you are flipping thru cd's.
