It's 8-core now, actually.

If it can, then I'll switch to Linux FOR SURE.

If it has a 64bit proccessor and the mac OS is also 64bit then yes.
322bit is what limits you to around 4GB of virtual memory

People think macs are good, simply because the simplicity and because other people tell they're good ( stupid fads ). With a regular computer, you have to be able to use things such as logics and common sense to install various drivers and tweak certain things to be able to get the best experience out of your computer with total freedom of use and customization.

The thing is with macs, they basicly ripped out any options that their userbase ( mainly low IQ fasion followers ) could do wrong. This is the main reason why they think their computer is that stable and good. While a normal computer is just as good, for a lower price, with more freedom of use.

People buy macs simply because they want to be part of the "group", or just because they're too retarded to make their own logical choices. What people seem to be forgetting though, that an Apple machine is simply just the same as a normal computer, running on a different kind of motherboard and OS. Then why does it run faster? Because it has mutch less features than a windows based system, mutch less security implements. Heck, if you buy a self made system for the same price as an Apple machine, you get a mutch faster one at that.

seeing how as you don't even know the correct name of apples video editing software, it's a fair assumption that you dont really know shit about mac os x and didnt give it that much of a chance.
Um iVideo?
ummm ok, why would you even mention a shitty 3rd party add-on app.

It came bundled on the Macbook, that's why.

in your reasoning why you don't like mac os x?

I never said I didn't like Mac OS.

bringing up any 3rd part apps is really a horrible idea when telling why you don't like an OS.

And I never said I didn't like the OS. I'm saying I'm not impressed with the computer as a whole, which includes programs like Garageband, and the simple fact the computer is not faster than my PC laptop even though it's supposed to be.

garageband and imovie are both low-end apps meant to be used for simple "everyday" video/music creation.

And what are the high-end apps? Because you're doing a whole hell of a horrible job trying to defend Macs.

which is why they get shipped with them.

And which is why I say I'm not impressed with them when talking about the MacBook.

most average people would be able to utilize and figure out how to work them. so why would you expect high-end performance from them?

Mac fanboys always, always rave about the bundled software on Macs, including iVideo and Garageband. They always, always tout them as super-awesome, uber-functional programs, yet they are not in anyway better than the bundled/free software I used on my PC laptop.

of course, apple has it's own pro products, final cut and logic.

which do get used by most musicians and a few movie studios. they do cost a pretty penny

Yeah, and better programs that "cost a pretty penny" can be used on PCs, like Ulead MediaStudio, Edius, or Sony Vegas for video editing. Then there's the PC-compatible programs for music editing like

but it's not like you or I would actually pay for them if we actually had to use them.

And it's not like a PC user can't use equal or better programs. It's not like the simple fact that you think the Mac programs are better somehow makes the MacBook pro better.

i took a look at you videos on youtube to see how good you're video editing was. and it seems to me that its on the level in which iMovie could be used.

Ooh ouch, attack my video montages that took me minutes to make.

also, you dont even have any songs uploaded to the audio portal either. so why would garageband/iMovie sucking even be a concern to you? are you even a recording artist? whats the deal?

I've made music before, both in a real band and with computer programs. I'll admit that in the latter I'm not very good, so I don't feel the need to submit it to Newgrounds.

And you're probably just a disgruntled Mac user.
haha, what? nah, not really.

Nothing else can explain your wacky, defensive response.

Yet apparently you cared enough to post a retarded response.
oh god ok you caught me caring. you're just taking this shit far too seriously.

Actually, it's you who is taking this seriously considering you took the time to fiendishly search both my youtube channel and my (lack of) audio submissions to find some way of making the argument about me instead of the MacBook.

which i do i find hilarious.

What's hilarious is that first you say you don't care, and you said it AS you made a post that showed us all that you do in fact care. Then you say I'm the one who takes it too seriously, yet it's quite obvious by your crazy post that you're taking it quite seriously.

honestly, it just seems to me that you're just a narrow-minded individual, who hates "trendy" shit just because it's "trendy".

LOL i bought the fucking Macbook so I see what the hell people were saying about it. If I hated "trendy" shit just because it's "trendy", why would I have wasted money on a "trendy" product?

I don't use my computer for anything other than the internet and school work, so I'd prefer a simple computer. My PC is pretty out-dated, so a lot of games and programs won't work.

I guess the only reason I like Macs better than PC's is the fact that Macs are better against viruses and they're easier to use. But as far as computers go, my PC gets the job done.

Well, Macs aren't really "better" against viruses per se. Since most computers used in the world are PCs, viruses are designed for PCs.

Also, I don't get the "ease of use" slogan I hear a lot. What about it is easier? In college I learned to use both Macs and PCs professionally, it's part of my current job too, but I don't see a big difference. Macs don't seem easier to use.

Maybe he means easier to upgrade considering you just take it to the shop and they do, since you can't do it yourself....

Not as many mouse buttons makes it less confusing.

They say that Macs are good computers for graphic designers. That's probably because they need to suffer a bit for their art.

Not really defending. More of just trying to let you know more about them.
I mentioned them, Final Cut Pro and Express Logic. I'm getting the impression you never heard of them.

Mac fanboys always, always rave about the bundled software on Macs, including iVideo and Garageband. They always, always tout them as super-awesome, uber-functional programs, yet they are not in anyway better than the bundled/free software I used on my PC laptop.

Haha, what? Was I raving about them? I'm pretty sure that I mentioned in my last post the I didn't even like iMovie that much. And that I even stated that I preferred editing with Windows Movie Maker over iMovie in my last post.

Yeah, and better programs that "cost a pretty penny" can be used on PCs, like Ulead MediaStudio, Edius, or Sony Vegas for video editing. Then there's the PC-compatible programs for music editing like

Yeah, I know. Which was kind of my point about 3rd party apps.

Ooh ouch, attack my video montages that took me minutes to make.

Nope, wasn't an attack. Quit being so defensive man. I was just simply trying to say that since you aren't doing some epic video with fancy effects and transitions, that that could be done with iMovie. Nothing more, nothing less.

Actually, it's you who is taking this seriously considering you took the time to fiendishly search both my youtube channel and my (lack of) audio submissions to find some way of making the argument about me instead of the MacBook.

Fiendishly? You make it seem like I have some personal vendetta against you or that I have some ulterior motive to bring you down. Get off your high horse.

Besides, if you're gonna talk about how much you dislike Garageband or iMovie why wouldn't I?

Lmao, well whatever. I guess, sorry for doing a bit of research before I post. So, you know, I have some idea of what I'm gonna post about. Because what if you did have tons of good music/videos on you're Newgrounds/Youtube account, then i'd be the one coming off as an idiot for not knowing about them, right?.

It seems like PC users on this forum can only spit feathers at the Mac and come up with no real reasons against it.

I use a Mac for everything because it's a laptop. I'm sure if I couldn't afford a Mac laptop and had a PC laptop I'd use that for everything too.

However, in my opinion I like using a Mac more. It just suits my needs more and it runs faster than my desktop with a stronger processor and more ram. :/ No bias, I use both personally.

I would say that the three things I like most would probably be:

1. Most of the software you will be using is already on the computer (and it doesn't come with all of that preinstalled shit)
2. All of the programs just work together
3. It's pretty without using up a lot of system resources

Yeah, Macs are pretty much the only computers I will ever buy.
