Wade is formulating ideas on how we can better the portal.

They really have to put a lot of thought into it. They have to plan what effects it will have on the system. Because if they just make a change and it doesn't work out, it looks very unprofessional.

I trust that Wade will fix the spam problem...

Here's a question: Have you seen any Blamming/Deleting/releasing them all in 'x' days recently??

I guess it has a chance of working

I'm sorry to say this: but there's a huge problem with that. Say you submit a good flash, and it passes with a 2.7, and it only gets 500 views and 300 votes. A month later you make an enemy with someone, and they decide to vote 0 on this cartoon everyday. It could get to below 1 and be deleted before you even know about it! The problem is always traced back to idiots...

Well mabey you could send it back sorta like when it first gets submited, but make it in a different shade and it will be judged again to see if its worthy to stay?

By then the damage will be so bad that it will never recover fully. It would take a few hundred votes (dedicated fuckers will do this) to get it down, so a few hundred more to bring it back up will never happen. I've had your same idea, but this came to me one day and I changed my mind.

My idea is to make spam "unsuitable" so people can blow the whistle on it. But the problem remains, what is spam? Well, my idea is to make a thread where people can wrack their brains so that we can come up with a solid idea of what spam is and hopefully get it written into Newgrounds law. But before I do that, I just have to make sure no one ELSE did that... So now I'll commence digging through the forums.

I don't get why people make such a big deal out of portal spam. It's not like they're breaking any rules, and what the hell, free save points! If you people want to keep bitching about a certain group (groups) of people who don't put effort into their flashes, then don't do it in the bbs.

Of course, there are many flaws here:
1. Random people who mark everything as spam.
2. People may just Vote 0 on everything in this spam list.
3. We still would need an admin or more moderators to review this crap.

These flaws completely undermine your idea. Any system you think of will have flaws, and those flaws are the reasons why everyone says, "We need a new system to sort out spam!" No matter what you do, there will always be flaws.
