Stupid Fucking Americans

That phrase is made on a daily basis by a lot of europeans.

I myself have uttered those words on occasion for certain reasons:

"You speak good english for someone from Skatlin"
"Do you guys get OJ in Scotland"
then theres the nautical things which I wont bore you with so much.........

The things is, this apparent stupidity isnt based on low intellect. Its actually based on the fact that most Americans dont really give a flying fuck about matters outside of America, and you cant really blame them for this when you consider how vast, diverse and powerful the USA is.

It reminds me a bit of how some people who speak poor english are percieved as being simple or slow because the language they use isn't too intelligent sounding. Yet they may well be far smarter than the person who percieves them as stupid.

It does seem like a stereotype but it's true Americans just dont seem to care about other countries as we do theres. Most recent example was an American in front of me asking at the post office whether or not we use stamps, I was all doi like.

Yea in Australia that sort of seems to be the general opinion 2,,
and that is because 90% of the news you hear about american is only about the dip shit ones, and every country has those people. i went for a 6 month trip to america arter i finished school with some mates, and we went there thinking that everyone weould be a bunch of redneck fucktards, but after about a week our perception changed heaps, i actually like them better than aussies everyone i met seemed to be fun loving nice people. with a few exceptions of the homeless on the street in L.A. that really pissed me off

sigh, you have completely misunderstood the point. Those 66's and 99 things were used to indicate they are examples, not digs. I then went on to explain that my thinking it stupidity was actually fairly stupid of me.

Think about this, you are as American as I am, and I'm sure you realize how stupid the war is, and you could walk door to door on your own street and realize that people are pissed about the war because our family members are fighting for something stupid.

Sorry, I've studied many countries, but I know very little about Scotland. You see, it's easy for you to know about America because of it's popularity, but I've had a hard time hearing of Scotland.
