Scotland's pretty bad too (... and it has bad weather).
I just didn't really want to mention it.

I can't remember whether I stole the concept from you or not...

I've spent the last few days literally only watching Stand Up... and eating pasta too I suppose.

I've watched two Hicks shows, three or four Carlin ones (both on Google Video :)).
Demetri Martin's 'If I' - who I'm now very fond of.
And just finished Ed Byrne's 'Pedantic and Whimsicle'.

Good Ed Byrne video - slating 'Ironic' by Alanis Morrisette.

And the 2007 Edinburgh Fringe show of my personal favourite comedian:
Stewart Lee - Edinburgh Fringe Part 1
Stewart Lee - Edinburgh Fringe Part 2

I love me some George Carlin. I haven't heard much from Bill Hicks yet, though. There's a DVD of his sitting on my Netflix Queue along with a Rowan Atkinson DVD and a bunch of Eddy Izzard stuff. I don't yet even know if I like Eddy Izzard. I've only seen him in shows in films, never standup before.

Demetri Martin's 'If I' - who I'm now very fond of.

Oh god, Demetri is hilarious. I wish he had released more CDs and DVDs. I need moar.

Good Ed Byrne video - slating 'Ironic' by Alanis Morrisette.

I haven't heard of him. I'll check it out in a bit.

Stewart Lee - Edinburgh Fringe Part 1
Stewart Lee - Edinburgh Fringe Part 2

What a coincidence. I've been watching Stewart Lee videos for the last few minutes. He's a funny guy.

I don't know what it's called. "Part Troll"?

Also, I have a Billy Connolly video that I have not yet watched, even though he's one of my favorite comedians.

He's Irish, that video is the best of the stuff I've heard.
His entire Pedantic and Whimsicle DVD is on YouTube and its alright, but none of it tops the Alanis thing.

What a coincidence. I've been watching Stewart Lee videos for the last few minutes. He's a funny

I love Stewart Lee.
The mere thought of him manages to fill me with happiness. When he came on stage the other week when I saw him I felt like a little school girl.
I highly(!) recommend his DVDs.

I don't know what it's called. "Part Troll"?

Its his latest DVD (until his new tour 'Tinselworm' comes out).
Its great :).

I got myself some Stewart Lee vids today. I also got Norman Rockwell is Bleeding by Christopher Titus and the 5th Annual End of the World Tour, also by Christopher Titus. And I got a Jimmy Carr video. I wish I could get more of Carr. I've been looking.

Which Stewart Lee?
And Carr is alright, though I usually hate the whole 'lots of jokes in a row' style of comedy, with Carr its alright.

I borrowed Russel Brand live off a friend, and I had to turn it off after 20 humourless minutes.

"Edinburgh and Beyond 2006" and "Edinburgh and Beyond 2007" is what they say.

I don't know anything about that guy other than a video I saw of him on Youtube a while ago. He was ranting about something, but I had no idea what he was talking about.

Oh shit, I ended a sentence in a preposition.

about that, yeah.

I also saw most of (I think most of, anyway) Identity. That was funny stuff. I didn't see past when he was teasing the entire country of Scottland, if there's anything past that.

Also, I still haven't watched any of the standup I acquired. I'll probably watch at least one vid tonight....probably.

The youtube 'Identity' video is just a section of the 'Stand Up Comedian' show. Its his first DVD, its about an hour and so long.
My friend rip my DVD of it on his Mac, so if you want I might be able to send it to you or something.

I've never been overly fond of Billy Connolly.
I think its cause of all the hype around him, you can't enjoy something when you're expecting the best thing ever.

hype? what hype? It must be different in the U.K because where I live, nobody seems to even know who he is even though they've probably seen him in a few films. I know one person who already knew of him without me having to introduce him to his material. Everyone else I ask gives me that "the name sounds familiar" bullshit, which really means "I wish I knew, but I have no fucking clue". I think he's more than worthy of his fame. I mean, I suppose he's the most famous standup comedian from Scottland, but that's like being the world's tallest dwarf (thanks to Stewart Lee for that comparison).

Also, I still haven't gotten around to watching that one video you posted that I said I would watch. silly me. I'll hopefully remember to do that tomorrow.

Considering he is from Scotland, aye, he's very, very popular in the UK.
I suppose a good comparrison would be George Carlin.
Unknown over here, well known over there.

To be honest though, I've not actually seen an entire Billy Connolly show :P.
I have some at home, and I will watch them when I go back.

Its the Edinburgh show that you've watched already, where he talks about Tom O'Connor and the salmon and stuff :P.

You mean sardines?

And he said to the man, Stewart, "Are you a sardine". It was brilliant, better than you.

I bought Stewart Lee's novel 'The Perfect Fool' today.
Won't be able to start it until Saturday as I'm not home til then and I sent it there.

Its not a funny book, but a serious novel. But still, its bound to be brilliant :).

Unfortunately it was here I had to do it... and the guy who had them left for home yesterday.
But I'll try and rip them myself, seeing as I've been a bad boy :(.
