Eyes something to do with sneezing?

I tried to keep my eyes open while sneezing but that just stopped the sneeze all together. When i allow my eyes it close i sneeze. It's really weird, did anyone as pathetic and bored as me try this? or know why it happens?

I've never tried it. I've always been afraid to try to sneeze with my eyes open because I think that my eyes will pop out of the socket once I sneeze

You have to keep your eyes open by holding FORCING them to be open with your hands. Worked for me, nothing happened. Just sneezed.

When i get sun in my eyes on the morning i alway sneeze. So yes, according to me eyes DO got something to do with sneezing.

A while back (like say 6th/7th grade maybe?) I tried keeping my eyes open right when I was about to sneeze.
I ended up getting half a sneeze, and half of something that sounded like a cough.

you probably can damage your eyes if they are open when sneezing. sometimes if i sneeze a certain way, the immense amount of pressure makes it feel like my head was going to explode.

Mythbusters showed that the only way to sneeze with your eyes open is to hold your eyelids. Also, they showed that sneezing with your eyes open doesn't make them pop out, not even by a mere milimeter. There's your true answer, with a pretty bow on top.
