Ignoring the fact that Bon Jovi performs this song, which I'm sure will give at least some people reason to attempt to be edgy and say 'omg fag bonjovi is ghey' or w/e, where do you think this 9 minute piece ranks in the legions of epic musical pieces?

I mean, I'd definitely throw it up there in the ranks of Freebird, Stairway, etc, but maybe I have a personal bias as I am a big Bon Jovi fan...so I was kinda wondering if I'm totally overrating this song or if it is really as epic as I think it is....lol.

Anyway for those of you who haven't had the pleasure of hearing this piece, here's a link to it on Youtube, this version is 7 minutes....but the one I have is like 9 minutes, so I'm sure that if you want to, you can check out the Keep The Faith CD or w/e....

I'd suggest minimizing the window and just listening, because the video might make you question your sexuality, and that might skew your opinion. :)

Hmm wasn't thinking of being "edgy" Bon Jovi has good music, and i would say this song is in my top 15.

Yeah, it's just the perfect mix of emotion, excellent musical talent, and powerful buildup. I love it.

I like Bon Jovi and think this is alright. It'll probably grow on me a bit more though. I hated Freebird at first and thought Stairway and Comfortably Numb were average and overrated, but now I love them, I kind of have to give songs a bit more of a chance before I can really enjoy them.

That's the thing eh? A lot of songs that I listen to the first time through, I hate or don't really get. Like, I think about the first time I heard The Killers, and I hated them.

Then I picked up their album and listened to it a couple times, and it just kept growing on me. It's almost like familiarity breeds admiration or some shit. :)

nah it's not even a critically acclaimed piece, so there are likely people who legitimately don't like it(me, for example).

Hahaha, I love Runaway. I've heard all those songs....I think his live versions of Runaway are the best ones though, to be honest.

I have almost all his albums, one way or another. I dunno, the 9 minute version of this song on Keep The Faith is way better than this video.

And for those people who are saying listen to good music, this solo was voted one of the best if not the best on many an internet poll, so I'm not the only person who has a chub for BJ.
