I was watching poppy shakespeare. I thought it was out of order that the staff took Poppy who wasn't menatlly ill and made her go to that place as it made her go mentally ill.
If that happened in real life that would be so wrong!
Someone told me that it is a well known fact years ago people were put in these institutions who had no mental health problems and ended up with mental health problems.

Well it is the whole environment thing, if you live with a bunch of people who masterbate 15 times a day at regular intervals it is bound to effect the way you live your life, especially in the close knit community of mental health wards, but saying that they rarely lock people up and throw away the key nowadays.
