and i've never been too fond of simsynth, purely because its not free and its nothing special there are other VST out there for free that can manage about the same thing.

yep, to clarify that, you add together 2 waves: one that does 50 cycles per second, one that does 60 cycles per second.

when you add the waveforms together, you get a sound that only plays 10 cycles per second--a.k.a. 10 Hz. but, frequency determines pitch, so if ur fundamental is only 10 Hz... thats one low and muddy sound.

you probably wouldn't be too concerned with the actual wave analysis going on though haha. i say ignore me and listen to everyone else who are actually talking about reeces.

i get what your on about, but i don't know where in FL i can measure the Hz of each oscilation, i think i get how to make a reese now though, ill just keep playing until i get it about right

Just layer up 2 3xOsc then set them all to saw, the same course pitch and volume and then fine detune them how much you want, the further you fine detune them, the fatter. You could replace some saws with squares to get a different sound..

Actually, you can. In Sytrus, you can set the pitch section of an oscillator to 0.000x, and +60.000 to get an osc at 60hz, and you can do the same for 50. However, it will not respond to changes in note played.

So do I. Just open it up, get what you want, bounce a bit to .wav, then load into a sampler and use that instead.
