I introduced Muse to a few friends at school and since then quite a lot of people have started mentioning and listening to them. They're a great band.

They? its only one guy. Besides, everyone knows at least one of his songs, even if they don't know who sings it. Yea a lot of his material is hard to find, but there are way too many people who can just start randomly singing the lyrics.

Well, besides 311, I'd have to say bands like Modest Mouse, The Strokes, Vampire Weekend, Sugarcult, Breaking Benjamin, Lamb of God, The Police, and Mindless Self Indulgence. To a lesser extent, Incubus, Sublime, and Queens of the Stone Age.

I don't even think that Knights of Cydonia is even their best song. If you ask me my opinion on what I think their best song is, I'd naturally say "Hysteria". I'm pretty stoked that it's coming out as downloadable content for Rock Band soon enough.
