So, I have a program called Gearbox from Line 6 (as I have a TonePort UX1), and I'd like a spot of help getting a certain sound from my guitar, if anybody can help me :)
I'll post a sample of the sound I would like later...

click on the online tone seeker thingy, they have plenty of good ones already made & submitted by users

I have the GX and I'm about to upgrade to the UX2. Your best bet is to create your own tone preset, imo. Just experiment with the amp models and what not.

stomp on
drive: 60%
gain: 40%
tone: 0%

compressor on
threshold: 10
gain: 0

EQ on
gain: 3.0, -5.0, 2.0, 2.0
frequency: 125, 250, 2.0k, 2.8k

reverb on
effect model: medium hall
predelay: 29%
decay: 31%
tone: 50%
mix: 38%

That's basically the "Metal Man" setting, but I tweaked it to my liking. Pretty ballsy without lacking any mids; great for metal.

Try it out.
