I'd like to ask something, just for the sake of knowledge... how does it affect your flash if the text is broken or not? Filesize? Lag?
actually the main problem is that, if titrotu doesnt have that exact font in his computer, the computer will MODIFY the text and try to adapt it to arial. wich will make your movie looks crappy. also, if the text occupied a very specific part of the screen, it will mess up since Now ITS ARIAL (or whatever font, but not the one its meant to be)
the reason why you must break apart your text is because by doing this you are basically transforming it into a DRAWING. and so, any computer will leave the drawings exactly as they are, unlike fonts.
The same question would go for putting the whole movie inside a MC, even though I've heard it helps the flash run smoother.
Curiously, it solves many problems when there are transitions from scene to scene in the timeline.
The sound lags where there are no movie clips.
for example, if the scene is in its keyframes instead of in a movie clip, when flash "jumps" to the next scene, it will try to follow EVERY SINGLE FRAME. wich ironically, is bad, because for some gay reason it ignores the sound clips. this ruins the movie.
instead, a movie clip will respect perfectly the sounds, playing them in the right time. altough it may skip the first 3 frames or so of your part (you cant really notice)
now this might vary, Ive only done one collab of this nature, and from my conclussions, it is always better to have movie clips if the movie is tooo long, or has too many scenes.
