Hey its me giantass. To me im sort of athiast. I hate the whole idea of a god. What is god? Does anyone know. What does he look like? These questions have been around for thousands of years and no one has an asnwer so everyone says the same thing. Well hes more of an idea as i said. It gives u faith. IF a miracle happesns u say its an act of god no its a coincidence or hard work. So y is everyone sure that there is this so called god. WEll in greek history or roman or indian they have many, Zeus, Hera etc. So r they correct that there r many or r we rite that there is one. Im more scientific. WHat started the universe particles atoms. I could go deeper into what it is but no. These arent really asnwer but they lead on. to more question which may lead to answers. SO whats ur view of god(s)?

whatever god is? or hie/her/its intentions? this Universe we're presented with is so very very vast as to totally conceal any truth of the matter.

The best god is the one who preaches for alcohol consumption and of the act of copulation. Yep, that guy would be an instant winner.
I once created a god. I called him the hockey god and prayed to him before every game in this really important tournament. Worked out pretty well too, we went on to win the provincials!

Mandango rules :)
I'm a pagan myself, and for me the idea of the deity is that it usually represents something we can't comprehend or what cannot be explained. I don't worship my patron/matron, since they are only representatives of energy or power.
What I like about my beliefs it that the only doctrine comes from myself, and it changes with time and experience.
What is god? God is a way of explaining the unkown. Look that the ancients, Posiedon was blamed for seastorms and Thor caused lightning. We know better now, but we still use the term god to put a "face" on the unexplained, so it is easier to deal with.

God, as we know it/him/her is a construct we have created over time.
If there is a higher power, we certainly haven't met it. This is how I feel.
I'm an agnostic, and in being such, I don't deny the possibility of god, but I certainly have not seen any substancial evidence to support faith in 'god'

Wow, how original.
Well I do believe in a god, but unlike most Gods, he's an emotional god. Yeah that's what he is, he likes to watch Soap operas and stuff.
And he's a funny god, he likes to watch people fall to their deaths or crash in something, or die in humorous ways.
And he's a pink god. Yeah I swear, he's got a little pink purse and a pink sweater with..
oh fuck this. Seriously everyone shut up and just go Mandango, you can't go wrong.

I'm a pretty hardcore atheist. I think belief in a God takes credit away from the actions of an individual. If a religious person does something important, for better or worse, they'll say that they owe it all to "god". You did it!
You're the one who won the fucking Super Bowl, not god.
You're the one who blew up the abortion clinic, not god.
Religion also creates more and more divisions. We already have, at the moment:
Conservatives vs. Liberals
Blacks vs. Whites
Whites vs. Blacks, Latinos, Asians, and the French
The United States vs. Everyone Else
Gays vs. Straights
Pro-choice vs. Pro-life
etc.
etc.
We really don't need any more division.
That's not to mention all the wars that religion has caused over the past few milleniums. I don't believe that the small good deeds that religion brings are worth the devistation that it has brought upon our world.

That works off the principle that you create your own reality. I don't know if thats what you were going for. But I have had gods of different things that i made up and sorta prayed to. The "christian god" can't be to far against alcohol unless jesus (water to wine) was wrong in doing that. Anyway I like beer and if god invented barley and hops well I like that god too.

I don't believe in god, or gods. However, I like to believe there is some sort of higher power at work. I've seen too many coincidences to write them off as just that. It just seems there's *something* at work.
That being said, Religion is truly a faulted idea. As far as I've seen, all it does is create controversy. I can't see any truth behind it, it just lulls people into a false sense of meaning in their life. If you need someone to tell you how you live your life, and show you that you belong, perhaps you need to step back and put things into perspective.
I can't think about debates and conversations about religion and god without remembering my anthropolgy professor telling us that there's a large percentage of historians and anthropologists who believe the Holy Bible was nothing more than a novel. Remember, Christianity was considered a cult when it christians started popping up in Rome. Now look how big it is. It's just a toss of the dice that Raelism and those Hale-Bop guys didn't catch on.
Well, maybe not. They're just crazy. ;)

I believe every man, woman and child is a god. Hence we should respect our fellow person since they too are a god. I dont believe in one god since then we would all be the children of that one god, making us all incest bastard children(since you cannot marry a blood relative).

blind watchmaker. if there ever was a god, He, She, or It smply wound up the universe and is letting it play out.
OR
God is a sadist.
OR
we are comic relief. Read "the whole shebang" a play on this very subject.

The fact that he fly an Israeli flag tells about his nationality- but not about his faith. In Israel there are many atheists. I, personally believe in god- but not all the Jews believe in him.

I must say that what you said here begs an answer for me. I would just like to clear something up. Is jewish actaully a race and a religion. I mean are all Jewish people Jewish or visa versa? and that can be intrepreted in any order.
Oh the other thing is that is it taken literally that we were made in gods form, which form of man would he look like, also what race would he be. Also I think if there is a god it isn't regularly a human in form, I guess it can be whatever it feels like but I wouldn't refer to it as he. Now for those who say god the father, that was and is a form of lineage so yeah don't use that I think.
Lastly Jimmy Hendrix kicks so much ass its not funny.
