I'm so glad you're saying something, Wade. I've been saying this for a long time, and has practically been a mantra in the Elite Guard Barracks for a long time. People need to realize that these mass-voting groups don't have the power to get stuff passed on their own...it's stat-hungry people that protect these flash that do it.
If we just vote how we honestly feel about flash, the tides will turn like you said. We can get stuff blammed that deserves to be blammed, and you'll even get the point for it to boot.

This is the problem with crappy flash:
Sometimes it's done on purpose and it can be funny, or just fucking annoying. Like the flash "How not To Be Angry" I think it's hilarious because of the mix of bad animation and good humor.
On the other hand, there's shit that should never reach the eyes of the human race, and should be blammed immediately. The problem is, some people can't grasp the difference between the two. They think "Oh, this was meant to be shitty. Okay." And vote 5. Others vote 5 FTL or to piss people off.
In the beginning of the AHCAI series I voted 0 on every flash, thinking it would eventually be blammed. It wasnn't
This is the problem. We need to solve it.

I vote zero. I used to care about points and rank but then I did the math and learned that those bonuses aren't as great as I thought they were.

I'm really glad to see this topic come up officially. I like to earn points and gain voting power just as much as the next guy. It's gotten to the point where I refuse to watch flashes that, to me, are a waste of time. I simply won't vote on the obvious spam. When I do roll across a poor submission or spam, I do not hesitate to vote 0. This is more often than I would like. As you can see by my b/p points, voting doesn't seem to get the point across. Niether does leaving a poor review.
Thank you all for addressing this issue. I will now vote on ALL 'under judgement' entries in hopes that we can take the power back.

I feel repulsed and bewildered. But if there were no crap-entries allowed, then the Clocks and KK would cease to exist. We can't have that, now!

Hence, the only way to keep spam out of the portal requires extreme measures, such as not showing the author of the submitted flash before it has actually passed judgment. That's the only way and it's certainly never going to be implemented.
Then you will just have the same intro being used by all of the spam groups (which used to be much more common).
But hiding the author of the submission might make things more fair, since a submission made by an artist with other submissions would have no advantage over a new artist. Not a bad idea.

Haha!
You're killing me Wade. It would require way too many proxies, good ones, at that, to successfully ensure that a submission would pass. Especially considering how weighted user's votes are compared to someone without an account.
They don't need to use proxies, Wade, if you noticed how many people in this thread confessed to voting high. It was only because this thread was created that it was blammed.

Honestly, Wade, I don't think he has to. From what I've seen, these groups get their crap passed solely based on the fact that people know his stuff will pass. Remember that Fleek started his stuff on Clock Day, when everything is insta-passed. He got so much stuff passed that people just associated his work with insta-points. Hence, he didn't even need any form of proxying...just the stat-hungry nature of most B/Pers.
I find it sad that I was a "stat whore" because I was attuned to how everyone voted. Now, I can't get any B/P anymore because I refuse to vote with the crowd...

I say that if a user posts 4 blammed entries in a row, 4 month ban from posting entries. The next time it happens, thats for you to decide, Wade!
