I was talking with life yesterday on Paltalk and he was speaking of something like a Portal Moderation team that was being worked on... I don't know if he was joking or not, but it sounds like you Admins could use some help in the Portal... especially with the huge amount of spam it's been getting lately. I'm not going to lie I try to get the free protection points out of those movies since I'm currently racing for Supreme Commander; however I feel bad about this, and would much rather vote 0 and hopefully get all those crappy and useless Flash movies out of the Portal.

I wont point anyone but some people really need to get banned from the Portal... like all those people who post two movies a day which are totally uninterresting, hateful or simply annoying (seizure and ear bleeding style). I don't know if all those people are just trying to get Turd of the Week, but it's kind of annoying.

Hopefully you guys come with a solution soon, but I like the iea of having a small Moderation team for the Portal, just like the Audio Portal or the Reviews.

Just an idea..... If a flash isn't even entertaining enough to get a 2.0, perhaps it shouldn't pass through the Portal.

I just give them a 0, and i can't seem to bring up any warm feelings towards the people who just give them a 2, so they are on the safe side (not being blammed is easier than being blammed).....

Well, before, they raised up the "passing grade" for flashes to be protected, did they not? and yet still more crappy flashes are passing.

yes I sometimes do that but if everyone agrees not to save them then thay will be blammed! and blam points!

On a somewhat related note, I now can't vote on more than 4 movies a day because I don't WANT to level up (I like my current icon).

It used to be that I could keep voting and just not click the deposit link, and because I'm forgetful I've ended up not voting on very many things at all lately. (out of fear of losing my precious icon)

Bring back the option to vote lots without depositing experience. Or give us a profile option that lets us use any icon from a level we've had. (so at level 5 you could use the level 1,2,3,4 or 5 icons, you get the idea)

This is part of the problem. If everyone doing what you are doing would just vote 0, the tide could turn, and you would start getting blam points. So try voting 0 for awhile and hopefully other people will as well and see if you start getting blam points.

I have a question Wade, Why can't the admins and mods just intervene and remove spam obviously mass voted through? I mean, the Adolf Hitler and Joseph Stalin series have no artistic merit, and anyone who claims to have worked hard on them is a liar, so why can't you guys overrule the pass and delete it?

I dont know about the passing grade, Ive pretty much forgotten most of the flash portal anyway.

Meh, the crappy flashes only pass because they use there whole crew to vote on the submission, but pretty much, they`re getting TOTW, which I`d say was pretty much stealing an award, like in one of wades last thread.

I vote 5 since I'm a total faggot who cares about stats. And why the hell would a 2.2 voting power dude blam it if those movies ALWAYS pass. Think about it, it always passes so you might as well spend those five seconds productively. No! Wait! You can't, because you're one of those lvl 8 "heroes" with a low voting power and/or 50 BP points. Well guess what lollerskates, just vote five for it cause no one gives a shit and voting 0 will only decrease its score by 0.0033 which doesn't do SHIT. Yeah yeah, you can still get a few blam points but it ussually passes with 1.8 or something and then people start blamming it for a reason unknown. And no I'm not acting as if I'm a rebel or something, if I was a rebel I'd create topics crying about shit no ones cares.

Maybe there should be a threshold beyond judgment, like an observation period. A lot of shit movies will drop below 1.60 once they pass judgment. Maybe if the score doesn't stay above 1.60 by the time it leaves the top 50 recent submissions, it could get deleted.

This might not be a good idea. It may be a terrible idea, since it's only essentially extending judgment in a weird way. The thing is, once the title is no longer purple, people stop worrying about points and vote more fairly. I'm just throwing it out there.

I'm pretty sure only Admins can delete Flash movies on the Portal... and I'm also pretty sure they're kind of tired of having to deal with all that crap. Especially Wade, since he's like... the guy who receives all the crap from angry teenagers on Newgrounds outside of the Forums.

Afrounderscorestud has been submitting the same flash every day for over two years. He isnt going to stop. Ever. He isnt a normal human.

He also has the highest B/P rate and naturally he will vote 5 on his own shit which will automatically protect it.

I just voted 0 on that stupid pong game that someone submitted, haven't checked to see if it blamed yet.
