I really don't get it.

Five'd to eventually overload the NG servers with data and blow up the office.

My suggestion:

Choose a select group of moderators that you feel can judge flash objectively. Give them the power to judge flash they deem unworthy of protection status.

1. One moderator judges the flash to be crap which puts it into a judgement folder for review by the other moderators.

2. The other moderators review the these flash at a time of their choosing with flash being judged according to the majority vote.

3. The flash is either deleted from or restored to the portal. You could add a ban for flash determined to be spam.

It's a little extreme but it's an idea that could work. I think it's a fair idea, especially if you check on your moderators from time to time and keep them fair.

Also raising the bar a little on the 1.6 wouldn't hurt either.

Be more lenient on Clock Day, but people at the EGB (and I'm pretty sure you saw it) were complaining a few months ago (February I think, right about when I started hanging out there) about alt-spamming and such by people like Fleek on the last Clock Day. So alt-spamming = definite 0, even on Clock Day. And remember what that 2 is there for! Even if the statwhores would switch their 5s to 2s, still going for save points but not as hard, we wouldn't be quite so deep in this predicament that Afro got nearly 250 of his 493 days in before his movie was deleted for once.

Depends actually. Coming from regulars like you and I, yes stats are part of the Newgrounds experience. But for those who just come here when they're bored, they are not very into Newgrounds. So yeah. We all have social lives outside the internet, well maybe not so much Craig, but seriously this is just a hobby. Some come here for flash, some to submit, some BBS, some stats, some just for friends. Some for all!
