How come when you're banned?

You see l33t topics that are justing begging for your post count +1 but when you're not the BBS is quite drab with no excitement going on, perhaps it is the case of wanting what you can't have and then realising when you get it, it fails to meet your expectations.

Does anyone else get this?

So wait... basically all you want from the BBS is threads where you can write "+1 post" kind of posts into it? You must get banned often with that attitude...

How do you get banned anyway? And if it's temporary wouldn't that be called getting suspended? And I don't mean this question in a (look at the sticky douche) way, I mean, what did YOU do to get banned?

I have a .04 posts per day attitude which is a big change in recent weeks from my .02 attitude of previous years.

Heh, I couldn't care less about my post count... And you'll hardly find any of my posts being spam or "+1 post" kind of things... And my posts per day would be much higher if I was any kind of spammer :)

Usually I believe users get banned for breaking major rules, spamming, and posting in spam threads. But sometimes when they break rules the post may just get deleted or the thread locked without a ban. Always depends on the Moderator and the "infraction" :P

I've only been banned twice, and only for a short time, and when I was banned I just did other things instead of going on the bbs.

I'm lucky with bans like that, what usually happens is I have something on that lasts X amount of days, and just before I go away, I get banned for that amount of days! So I don't notice usually.
