Super Smash messing up the Wii?

Hey NG. My Wii has been acting all funny and some people tell me Super Smash Brothers Brawl sometimes messes up the Wii. Is this true? And if so, what do I do from here?

i had to sendd my wii in for repairs because i played brawl too much, so im not sure if its the game that messed up my wii or just the fact that i played it too much.

Brawl has been known to act screwy on some systems because it's the first game to use a dual layer disc, and the Wii disc drive lens may be dirty. Nintendo is fixing this for free.

No, nothing bad happened to me with it. My Wii is fine and so are my other friends' that have it. Unless you have been throwing your Wiimotes at the Wii and you have been attempting and/or commiting Wii Abuse.
