This is a Society created to discuss the anime Code Geass

Code Geass currently is the most popular anime in Japan after its second season debut.

Code Geass summary:

Around 2010, a.t.b., the Holy Empire of Britannia overpowered Japanese forces and conquered the country with their robotic weapons, the Knightmare Frames, in less than a month. In the aftermath of Britannia's invasion, Japan lost its freedom and rights and was renamed Area 11. The Japanese people, renamed as "Elevens", were forced to survive in ghettos, while Britannians lived in first-class settlements. Rebel elements persisted, however, as pockets of Japanese organizations who struggled against the Empire for the independence of Japan.

After his father, the Emperor of Britannia, did nothing to pursue the terrorists who murdered his mother and crippled his sister, the young prince named Lelouch vowed to destroy Britannia. Seven years later, living in Area 11, he encounters a mysterious girl who gives him the power of Geass. With it, he finally has the power that he needs to defeat Britannia and fulfill his two wishes: to seek revenge for his mother and to construct a world in which his beloved sister can live happily.

You can always read Code Geass at onemanga.com and watch the anime series on Veoh.

What are the rules?

- Standard BBS rules apply, no spamming, in-appropriate stuff etc. I will contact a mod if Noobs, alts and attention seekers constantly break rules.
- Try to refrain from pointless flaming.
- ABSOLUTELY NO PICTURE SPAMMING - it's annoying, and just makes whoever does it look really lame anyway.

You can name yourself one of the Characters too. I'm gonna be lelouche. Haha. >:)

This club is to discuss anything relating to the anime or manga

Watched the first 2 episodes of season 1(just premiered in the states)

I'm really liking it, Lelouche took out those Brtiannian squads Death Note style(very strategic, it was like Chess) So it was like Death Note, except less gay and the plots actually moving.

So pretty much your watching a show that you describe as if you don't like.

Hmm makes perfect sense.

Getting a little worn out on the series, it wasn't brilliant or a masterpiece from the start either way.

So like i said, the shows like Death Note, except better and the plot's moving pretty nicely so far.

Well might as well joined. I wanna be Nunnally. As to comparing Death note and Code geass I would have to say DN is the superior show but i haven't finished it and am watching it weekly on AS. CG is good show but one of the series main appeals is fan service which is lame.

Some people act like its the best anime ever, I personally disagree.

It was a good anime and all and had some really epic scenes, but there are better animes out there.

Agreed, only I wouldn't say something like that on episode 2.

You should wait until later on in the show before saying something like that.

Bump and double post this anime is way too epic to let this thread die.

I'm quite disappointed with the latest episode of Geass, I mean now their in CHINA.

Their are several flaws with this.

1.) CHina has billions of people, they don't want a million elevens to boot.
2.) EVen on that huge-ass I don't see how a million elevens can fit on it.
3.) Lulu actually took off his helmet in front of that large crowd, FOR NOTHING! Whats further more is no one said anything!
4.) That means the normal LUlu is leaving school and not coming back, way to abandon all your friends without any explantion, smart.
5.) Everyone had their zero outfit in their bags, but how were all the helmets identical?

I don't expect the anime to be that great from now on for a while.

But I still wanna know what happened to Villetta towards the end of season one with all the guys breaking into the apartment with axes and such.

I've seen many similarities between Death Note and Code Geass, but with Code Geass the main character is certainly not evil (Light is so fuckin' evil). Also, Lelouch is sometimes comical and has funny friends, like Rival. But Death Note is better, because it's so deep and the character interactions are great.

Alright I'm on episode 7 of the second season and the filler episodes with the school festivals are incredibly annoying. Good show, Suzaku is a faggot and I'm rooting for Ledouche for certain.

Joined. I've seen the entire first season, and the first episode of the second season. Truly is one of the best Anime's out there, so yeah, joining. Also, a Code Geass DVD is gonna be released August 5, 2008.

It probably has something like 9-10 episodes on it, so everyone get excited for that.

Also, what do you guys think of the dub? I think it's captures the voices of the characters well.

Ok.

I'd rather get a series by the season rather by half a season, its less confusing that way.

I actually like the dub, a few voices(Jeremiah's, for example) could be better but overall I would watch the series in Dub form if it weren't so far behind.

I love the show Code Geass! Mind if I join? If so I'll be Suzaku Kururugi since no one else chose him. I've only seen the english dubs on Adult Swim and I can't seem to find the other episodes of season 1 that are in english subs. Could someone help me find a website that has episodes of season 1?

I've been watching it on Adult Swim, it's pretty interesting so far. Something I find really annoying about the show is the fact its anime-art somewhat gets in the way of the story. Being an 11 and being a Britanian is a major thing in the show, and people respond differently to each faction...

But they both look exactly the same! It gets really confusing when people are like "oh my god he's british!" and I'm all "he looks exactly like you". Meh.

I'm totally addicted to code geass right now. I'm into the second season and it hasn't dissapointed me yet. Except with Suzaku. God i hate that white helmet. Always fucking things up, although i suppose thats the point.

Zero/Lelouch is a deliciously evil bastard. Great character.

Hey I've thought of something to discuss! According to the history of Britannia the year a.t.b. started after Caesar's invasion and according to our history that happened about 50 years before the year A.D. was established. So wouldn't that mean that the setting of Code Geass is actually in the past and not in the future?

My friend made me watch this a few weeks ago and I've only seen like, half of an episode but I'm trying to get back into it again. If this dosn't sink to the depths of NG hell I'll join.
